Nicolaos Panagiotopoulos, professionally known as Nico Panagio, is the host of Survivor South Africa, having hosted the series since its third season. He is also an actor and businessman, and has appeared in various South African movies and TV shows.
Hosting Survivor South Africa[]
Nico initially auditioned for Survivor South Africa: Panama and had reached the shortlist of 25 applicants, but was told he was already a public figure as an actor and casting was not accepting celebrities at the time.[1] He was later asked to audition for the role of host who will replace Mark Bayly. Nico was chosen to host for Survivor South Africa: Santa Carolina and continued to be involved with the series until its cancellation in 2023.[2]
