When Mickaël's partner in the opening challenge, Nadine De Carpentry, refused to finish said challenge because she had hurt her head, Mickaël was concerned that this would reflect badly on how his challenge abilities would be perceived. To his relief, Mickaël was selected by Namadia Thaï Thaï to be a part of the Mawar tribe and was not banished, unlike Nadine. Though Mickaël was able to survive his first Tribal Council, some of his tribemates became fed up of his negativity around camp. These included the two recently adopted tribe members and most of the tribe's women. Before their second Tribal Council, the group was able to convince Thierry Villette to flip to their side and vote with them, eliminating Mickaël when the time came.
