Mick may be the oldest of all the Survivors, but he shouldn't be written off just because he's got a subscription to Saga Magazine. He exercises regularly in the gym, swimming pool and the great outdoors. An only child, he's been married to Jean for 30 years and has one cat.
He's got a BSAC diving qualification (that's more thorough than a PADI) and is consequently a member of the British Sub Aqua Club. He's put his expertise to good use in diving expeditions in nearby Borneo.
Mick dislikes smokers and loud people, and enjoys solitude and 'faction' books like Bravo Two Zero. He describes himself as quietly confident, happy and optimistic.[2]
