  • Hello,

I just wanted to know if you can help me add more information on Jenna Morasca’s summary on  the top of her profile page such as the Jaburu Alliance history in “The Amazon” and her attempted alliance with Kathy Vavrick-O’Brien in “All Stars”.

    Thanks

  • It seems you did some modification so that "tribebox" would now act as "tribebox3" (i.e. custom text in tribe color background), but there seems to be an issue if the text "0" is done (see Fire Token count for example). It seems you're employing a null value, when I think it reads it as the character itself. Could I suggest replacing "0" with null? Or maybe use #switch and use the {{{1}}} as an "if"?

  • Hello Sinjoh

May I ask why you undid my edit on Woo's page?

      Loading editor
  • Could I ask why you reverted it back to 0 after I changed it from 2? Natalie said it herself that before paying for the peanut butter (2 Tokens), idol (6 Tokens) and 3 advantages (6 Tokens), she had 14 on hand. That means at the end of the episode, she had none left. Unlike with Parvati whom until the information about prices raising wasn't shown until now, we did have resolution that Natalie did have no Fire Tokens left before the challenge. With Tony we don't have an update yet so I get why it's still 3, but we had clear info of the end tally for Natalie. The tooltip already has her 2 Tokens accounted for in it anyway to clear confusion.

P.S. Also, if you are going to make an edit, at least give more details than a plain rollback. Not sure also why you locked it too, rather than talking to me first about the edits on why it has to be that way.

    • That's the current admin consensus. The only thing we're unsure of right now is what happened to Sophie and Tyson's 2 Fire Tokens from the coconut task.

    • Yeah, just saying that it seems it does follow what I was thinking, and that I'm not sure if there's a need for lock now, seeing I'm not sure what other conflicts are being considered upon.

  • Hi Tyler,

I'm not sure who is in charge of the Survivor Israel pages, but I went to sort out some cast photos for a friend today for every season they ever produced, and wonder if you can make great usage of the photos, as the whole Survivor Israel pages isn't really updated.

  • Hi Sinjoh,

I saw you undid my revision on Abi's page. Please refer to my talk page explanation, Brazilians are not "Hispanic", as Brazil is a Portuguese-speaking nation.

However, it may be best to alternatively change the category altogether to "Latino-American Contestants", or something along those lines.

    • Are there any interviews of Abi discussing being Hispanic or not? I can hardly find anything about her talking about her heritage at all.

    • I reached out to Abi via facebook and she identified herself as Latin American not Hispanic, so after a final discussion between the admins, we decided to change the category to Latin American. Essentially any contestant with proven heritage that they identify with from South America, Central America, Mexico, or the Caribbean will be in this category. Glad this is solved, albeit with a potential caveat down the road for contestants who hail from countries such as Haiti. Some Haitian Americans identify solely as Afro-Carribean or African American, so that'll be a case by case basis.

  • Seeing the term Early Merge in Survivor: Winners at War is very odd as 11-13 merges have been the norm since Survivor: Samoa. Interestingly date wise, most merges in this period have been done within Day 17-20 or so, kinda lining up with the typical Day 20 of other seasons (although some I do notice to be around Day 22 or so). Seeing the cast size norm has been increasing I don't think these merges can be constructed as "early" anymore. What do you think?

    • "Early Merge" (and even "Delayed Merge") has always been about the number of castaways on a merged tribe being grater than or less than 10, since it's deviation on the original format introduced in Borneo, even if it's more common recently. Tribe switches and Hidden Immunity Idols, the Simplified Final Four, the Final Three/Jury Configuration are still mentioned in these pages, even though they've become staples of the series since being introduced as well.

Also the cast size increasing means jack shit in regards to this, since even in the early seasons before the early merge became common, seasons with greater than 16 castaways still merged at 10 (Vanuatu, Guatemala, Fiji, Micronesia, and Heroes vs. Villains), and few seasons having them merge later than 10 (All-Stars, Cook Islands, and Gabon).

    • Honestly, it's easier to just put merge/jury configuration in the season infobox. From the modern perspective, WaW is more "delayed" than it is "early".

Merge size should probably only count as a twist if it's an unprecedented number. Listing every 12-of-18 merge as "early" is just silly. The same goes for the number of jurors.

    • @Sinjoh But that will be a misnomer now, rather than a presumption due to being different from the others. I agree with the "Merge at X" being a better season information note. At this rate the seasons you said are becoming more of the exception rather than the rule. And to tell the truth I'm fine with HII not being added anymore unless there's a twist added to it (although in terms of Tribe Switches it does detail the specifics of how it was done so I'm kind of fine with that staying.
