Maxime est bien élevé, sérieux et rigoureux. Il est fier de sa réussite, qu'il ne doit qu'à son travail. Mais ce trentenaire est un éternel insatisfait, qui veut tout vivre pleinement, afin de se dire qu'il a accompli de grandes choses, Koh-Lanta en fait partie. Maxime n'a qu'un objectif : les poteaux !

Maxime was selected by Alexandra Élizé to be a part of the Nacpan tribe. The Nacpan tribe performed well in challenges overall and, until its dissolution, its members never had to worry about attending Tribal Council. On their new tribe, Cadlao, the four original Nacpan tribe members held a numerical disadvantage against the five original Ilog tribe members. Though Samira Aït-Brahim ended up being the first target of the original Ilog tribe members at the Cadlao tribe's first Tribal Council, it became evident that Maxime would be next in line going forward due to his lack of chemistry with his tribemates and his subpar listening skills regarding instructions. However, he made the merge because the Cadlao tribe only attended one more Tribal Council before then and, at said Tribal Council, they unanimously voted out Stéphanie Tribot who had taken the place of Jean-Philippe Masy on the tribe after the latter had been evacuated from the game.

Even though the original Cadlao tribe members held the majority after the merge, Maxime was always on the chopping block with him even facing a couple of withdrawn attempts from the female original Cadlao tribe members to orchestrate his elimination. However, at the Final Ten, the Tied Destinies twist took place and Maxime was paired with Louana Roy, much to the latter's chagrin. With each of the remaining original Matingi tribe members paired with a more popular original Cadlao tribe member, Louana felt unsafe due to Maxime's unpopularity. In response, she rallied her fellow original Ilog tribe members to target original Nacpan tribe members Géraldine Nicolle and Fouzi Ould Bouamama at the corresponding Tribal Council. Though Maxime was initially on board with this, he ultimately did not want to lose Géraldine and Fouzi, so he informed them of this plot and suggested that they target Nicolas Bellon, and in turn Jean-Charles Chatelus as collateral damage, for his duplicity throughout the game. At Tribal Council, Géraldine, Fouzi, and Maxime executed one plan while Nicolas, Jean-Charles, and Louana executed another. However, the majority of votes were cast against Maxime, including two from Louana's allies Ambre Daudet and François Descamp, eliminating both Louana and Maxime from the game. As Louana and Maxime exited, Ambre and François emphasized that Maxime was their main target, but that Louana's strong challenge performances and recent bossy demeanour made it easier for them to accept that she would be collateral damage.
