La Isla: El Reality[]
2013[]
Matías was part of the Famous tribe. During the first stage of the game he showed strength and was good in the challenges, however his tribe at the beginning was not so good, so they had to go to the second and third trial consecutively, where Shocker Jair and Vanessa Zambotti were voted out.
After those eliminations, the remaining four members of the tribe went on a winning streak, remaining immune. To their misfortune the women of his tribe lost the Pre-merge Challenge, making the tribe disappear. During the Schoolyard Pick of the new tribes, Karen González chose him as the first member of the new Luna tribe.
Once in his new tribe, Matías went back into a bad streak, attending trial where after the veto of the vote that would vote out Paco de la O, a revote occurred in which although Bad Boy Rosas voted for him, Matías along with the rest of the tribe voted for Bad Boy, being this one voted out.
During the Territorial Challenge of Cycle 8, Matías suffered a blow to a rib, causing his performance in the challenges to drop. His tribe again attended the trial, where although Karen was to be voted out, again the opposing tribe vetoed the vote, causing a revote in which Matías was voted out due to his injury.

La Revancha[]
Matías joined the Oro tribe, where he remained safe for the first three cycles. It was until the fourth trial that he was voted out.
Matías arrived at Playa Destierro, where he managed to survive the fourth duel and remain in the competition for a few more days. However, in the last duel he was defeated by Rafa Mercadande and was definitively eliminated from the game along with Tania Rincón and Ana La Salvia.
