Marc Rambaud is the Sole Survivor of Koh-Lanta: Johor.

Marc is remembered for his strong skills in both surviving and strategy and for creating another camp sheltered from all the others. Despite his tribe losing their numerical advantage after the merge, he later managed to take control of the game again by forming a close alliance with the eldest members of the opposite tribe. His hard work and survival skills earned him the title of Sole Survivor in a 9-2 jury vote.

Koh-Lanta[]

Marc was selected by Christophe Pendon to be a part of the Lankawaï tribe. The Lankawaï tribe got off to a poor start, losing the first three challenges. Marc made fire in record time and proved to have expertise in many aspects of camp life, but he was targeted by Babeth Delettre and Isabelle Haouzi early in the game for not giving his tribemates enough opportunities to practice these aspects themselves. Fortunately for Marc, he came out on top and Babeth was voted out at the Lankawaï tribe's first Tribal Council, though he was not kept in the loop about this vote.

Before the second Reward Challenge, both tribes had to select a female and a male of their opposition to be banished until further notice. Thanks to this twist, the Lankawaï tribe lost Manon Allender and Sébastien Ballesteros for the time being, leaving them with seven active members. At the beginning of the third cycle, Manon and Sébastien competed against the banished members of the Tinggi tribe, Cédric Giosserand-Lucas and Jessica Potel, in a challenge. Manon and Sébastien won this challenge and became captains of the new Tinggi and Lankawaï tribes, respectively, in consequence. Marc was selected by Sébastien to be a part of the new Lankawaï tribe, which consisted of five original Lankawaï tribe members and four original Tinggi tribe members. In spite of the new group dynamics, the Lankawaï tribe became more united very quickly.

Having made it to the merge, the second Lankawaï tribe members wanted to pagong the second Tinggi tribe members. However, they faced a problem concerning the merged tribe's first Tribal Council. Since Corinne Bargoin Samuelian would be exempt from attending due to being at the infirmary and since Charlaine Cuny would already have a black vote cast against her, there would be a tied vote should the second Tinggi tribe members vote against Charlaine. To circumvent this, Cédric convinced Jeff Santiago that Charlaine had a Hidden Immunity Necklace and that they should vote out Sébastien instead. Though the other second Tinggi tribe members questioned Cédric's sincerity, they followed Jeff in voting against Sébastien at Tribal Council. Meanwhile, the second Lankawaï tribe members blindsided Jeff, who then angrily realized that he had been conned all along by Cédric.

The next cycle, Corinne was permanently evacuated and eliminated from the game due to an infection on her foot, so Jeff returned to the game in her place, allowing for the second Tinggi tribe members to turn the tables on the second Lankawaï tribe members and eliminate three of them over the next two cycles. At the Final Eight, Marc, who realized he was next in the second Tinggi tribe members' firing line, successfully convinced Chantal Ménard and Bruno Peisey to flip over to his side based on the three of them doing most of the work around camp. This trio, along with Sébastien, blindsided Jeff at Tribal Council.

This new alliance of four controlled the votes over the next couple of cycles, but at the Final Five, outsider Mélissa Bastin won the last individual Immunity Challenge. Forced to eliminate one of their own, Chantal and Bruno targeted Sébastien while Sébastien joined forces with Mélissa to target Chantal, leaving Marc as the swing vote. Sébastien tried to argue to Marc that he had had his back for much longer than Chantal and Bruno did, but Marc pointed out that Chantal and Bruno saved him at a critical point in his game and that they work much harder around camp than Sébastien does. With Marc not changing his mind about how he'd vote, Sébastien was voted out right before the finale. Having made it to the finale, Marc was taken by Chantal to the Final Two instead of Mélissa after Chantal won the Perch challenge.

At the Final Tribal Council, though both Chantal and Marc faced a generally bitter jury, they were credited for their survival skills and hard work. With Marc shining more in these aspects than Chantal, Marc won against Chantal in a 9-2 vote.
