Madison "Maddy" Pomilla is a contestant from Survivor 44.
After catching Brandon Cottom find a key to the Hidden Immunity Idol, Maddy's distrust of Brandon made him her target at Ratu's first Tribal Council. Though she appeared to have the numbers, her would-be allies left her high and dry by deciding to abstain from the vote. Maddy's fate was sealed when Brandon played his idol and used his sole vote to make her the first person voted out of the season.

Why do you want to be part of SURVIVOR? I get a kick out of doing things that scare me, or that feel impossible, or that I dreamed of doing as a kid. SURVIVOR checks all of those boxes.
What's one life experience you feel has prepared you for the game? I am one of five sisters, and I'm the classic middle child – social, independent, problem–solving. To survive the Pomilla sisters, you gotta be dynamic, and keep up!
Which previous player do you identify with the most? Who do you think you will play most like? Strategically, probably Cirie or Omar. Swag-wise, probably Malcolm.
What will you value in an alliance partner? Someone practical, open-minded, not self-serious, and must be fun!
Favorite Hobbies: Surfing, skateboarding, making movies with my sisters, dancing all night, pretending I'm Madonna at karaoke, laying in the grass
Pet Peeves: Elitists, man-splaining, impatience, having sand on my feet when I put socks on
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of? I've done some cool things, like trekking to Everest base camp, but the real best thing I've done is make the hottest guy from NYU date me for the last seven years.
What is something we would never know from looking at you? I placed third in an ultramarathon when I was 22. I'm not as buff as everyone else on the cast, so y'all need to know I can at least run far.
Who in your life is your biggest inspiration and why? I have four crazy sisters who are just like me, but better. And my dad, Paul. They lead life with compassion, curiosity, honesty, and are really good, down-to-earth people.
Why will you be the Sole Survivor? I love living in the grey area where anything could happen at any moment, so I'll coast on chaos and have fun doing it.[2]

Maddy was assigned to the Ratu tribe. Shortly after arriving at their camp, Maddy and the rest of the tribe discovered a mysterious package locked in a bird cage. When the tribe split up to look for the key, Maddy accompanied Brandon Cottom on his search, later catching him find the key. Brandon then asked her whether he should tell the rest of the tribe or not. Maddy advised him not to, but Brandon did so immediately, making it clear that he was not interested in working with Maddy. It turned out the key allowed Brandon to obtain an Hidden Immunity Idol, which prompted Maddy to target him following Ratu's loss at the Day 3 Immunity Challenge.
Maddy was initially successful in convincing the tribe to join her plan to take out Brandon. However, things began to fall apart at Tribal Council when both Matthew Grinstead-Mayle and Jaime Lynn Ruiz opted to play their Shot in the Dark, alerting Brandon to play his idol. Because of their distrust established earlier and despite Maddy's connections with everyone else on Ratu, Brandon's sole vote was enough to eliminate Maddy from the game, 1-0.

- Maddy is the fifth person and the lowest-placing castaway to be voted out with only one vote cast against her during an entire season, following Terry Deitz in Panama, Lauren Beck in Island of the Idols, Sandra Diaz-Twine in Winners at War, and Jesse Lopez in Survivor 43.
- Maddy is the third castaway to be eliminated by a single vote, excluding 1-0 votes at a three-person Day 38 Tribal Council. She follows Lauren Rimmer in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and Sandra Diaz-Twine in Winners at War.
- Maddy is tied with Cirie Fields (in Heroes vs. Villains), Lucy Huang, and Malcolm Freberg (in Game Changers) as the lowest-placing castaways to be eliminated as a direct result of a Hidden Immunity Idol being played.
- Maddy is the only person to achieve this with an 18-person cast.
