Long Road to Ruins is a recurring challenge that debuted in Survivor: San Juan del Sur before reappearing internationally in Australian Survivor: Brains v Brawn (2021).

Rules

Teams will begin by transporting heavy puzzle pieces to a platform to build a temple. Once building the temple, teams will have to push the platform to the end of a rail, where one team member will climb the temple to unlock a statue. The team must then pull on a rope to hoist the statue to the top of a post that they must hook on there. The first team to hook their statue wins.

In Brains v Brawn (2021), instead of building a puzzle at the beginning, tribes had to collect ropes to crossover a platform before grabbing their statue. In addition, there was a Hidden Immunity Idol hidden on the course for anyone to find, which Hayley Leake would successfully find. The Brawn tribe would beat the Brains in hoisting their statue, thus winning immunity.
