Les Aventuriers de Koh-Lanta was the first season of the French version of Survivor, Koh-lanta. This season took place in Thailand on the island of Koh Rok, and was broadcast on TF1 from August 4, 2001 to September 21, 2001, airing on Saturdays and Sundays at 6:55 p.m.
Production
With the resounding success of Survivor: Borneo, the French television network TF1 decided to make his own version of Survivor.
Sixteen contestants were chosen by the producers to participate the show.
They were marooned on the coast of Koh Rok Island in Thailand, where they would live for 43 days and only one will win the prize.
Twists
- Ambassadors: At the merge, each tribe chose one ambassador. The two ambassadors would agree on one contestant who would receive a vote at the next Tribal Council; this vote was counted in addition to the ten normal votes.
