These are the first 4 episodes from La Isla 2017: El Reality.

Story

Day 1

The episode begins with all 21 contestants travelling from mainland Dominican Republic to the Island they'll stay in. Afterwards, Alejandro Lukini informs them that their package will be dropped in three boxes, on three different parts of the island. He also informs them that 3 contestants will also drop from the airplane, and that those three are the captains of their teams. The three chosen ones are Facundo Gómez, Aristeo Cázares, and Luis Arellano. When all three arrive on land, they'll compete on a special challenge to win a Totem, which will grant them a special power for their entire team. Luis wins the challenge.

Without a doubt, Luis is strong. He beat me, fair and square, and he's stronger on those challenges. We'll see more obstacles, those obstacles, they're different. Well done, Luis.

Aristeo

After the challenge, the captains reunite with their teams, who will now compete in the first Territorial Challenge, where they're informed of the tribe division, being the War of the Classes. Banda wins High Beach, while Godínez wins Medium beach, and Pudientes stay on Low Beach. After the challenge, Lukini reveals the power that Luis won, which lets his team change the results of the Challenge, but his team chooses not to do so. Lukini then informs them that the teams have to pick two women from each team to compete in a future challenge.

Day 2

Arriving to High beach is the best, the best! I was so hungry, we hadn't eaten anything, anything, like zero, anything.

Yuriko

Arriving to High Beach is like a dream. Even better being the first ones arriving to High Beach. It gives you a lot of energy for tomorrow. You've seen that you can do it, then tomorrow you can do it as well. I've never had these privileges, up until now. Well, I feel happy for having them, and thankful for all of the experience I'm living. I don't think that classes exist right now, since we're the lower class, and we're living like the higher class, enjoying these privileges. And the higher class is living like us, the lower class, suffering like the way we live in.

Luis

Honestly this has never disturbed me at all. The truth is that Low Beach seemed like a nice place, I'm not even hungry, but I would like to have at least dry clothes. But, to be honest, the Pudientes have a very nice vibe and a lively spirit. Right now I believe the only problem is the food because there's absolutely nothing. It's horrible, I mean, I thought there was gonna be at least something. There's nothing! I'm gonna eat this plant right here.

Facundo

It's very (expletive censor), very (expletive censor). I never thought it was gonna be like this. Honestly it's very hard.

Andrea

Medium Beach, well, it's nice. I mean, we won't be asking High Beach for anything.

Aristeo

I love Medium Beach, it's incredible. It's a pretty little hut. Only problem is that there wasn't that much food. We haven't eaten all day, so when the time comes to eat, I'd think the food is very little for everyone.

Carmen

Once all three tribes have settled in their beaches, the captains make their choices for the upcoming challenge. Luis picked Yuriko and Gabriela, since he thought Laura would get tired very quickly, while Facundo picked Fernanda and Ayra, because he thought they were the two strongest women, and Aristeo picked Antonieta and Teresa, because he trusts in them.

Once all 6 arrive, Lukini reveals that the winner of the challenge will receive an advantage in the next Immunity Challenge, and will also receive the power to give a disadvantage to either of the two teams. Yuriko and Gabriela win the challenge, and recieve the advantage.

Day 3

The three couples report the results of the challenge, and all three tribes think that the Banda tribe will give the disadvantage to the Godínez tribe. Once the tribes arrive to the Immunity Challenge, the blue team does give the disadvantage to the green team, but it doesn't matter, since the Godínez tribe wins. While on the Immunity Challenge, Facundo suffered from heat exhaustion, and had to be temporarily removed from the challenge. Juan Carlos Vergara took his place. Once the challenge is over, Lukini surprises everyone by saying that there will be no Final Challenge, meaning the two losing tribes will go to Trial.

Day 4

While the green team is resting, the other two tribes are pondering on the new mechanics of the Trial. On Pudientes, Ayra and Andrea Escalona feel in trouble since they've had a weak performance. Facundo later arrives to his beach and is welcomed by his team.

My main problem is that I'm very stubborn, I give it my all, and I always end up like this, almost dying. But yesterday, I assumed I needed water, but I also needed to sleep, some food, affection, to be understood, a lot of things I couldn't have in there. And when I arrived, they thought I was gonna give up and I was gonna return to my house, but no, I'm not that dumb. I'm not a big crybaby, I still have some days to show my power.

Facundo

On Banda, the men of the tribe want to band together to vote out one of the women, and all 3 women feel unsafe and willing to vote for one of the men. Silverio Dionicio feels in trouble the most, but Luis and Adrián Arrieta said that they would not vote for Silverio.

Once both tribes arrive to the Trial, Lukini informs them of the new mechanics. First, each team will go to the back part of the Trial to vote to save someone from the opposing tribe. After they save someone, the tribes will vote on a nominee from their own team. The Banda tribe nominates Laura Duque, since she is the weakest of the tribe, while the Pudientes tribe nominates Andrea, for being the weakest at swimming.

The blue team saves Ayra, while the orange team saves Laura, and she decides to nominate Silverio, because she considers him the weakest of the men. Lukini sends the teams back to their beaches, and Silverio and Andrea stay with the host. Once they arrived to the Duel, Silverio was confident in that he would return, while Andrea said she would be disappointed in herself if she loses. Silverio wins, and Andrea was eliminated.

Challenges

Challenge: The contestants have to run to push a box to a base, where they'll have to insert the box and use it to retrieve a crate opener, which the contestants will use to open the crate, and take out some sandbags. The contestants will also run to get some sandbags next to each box. Once they have all 10 sandbags, the contestants will place each of the sandbags in a different table. Once all sandbags are in each table, the contestant will grab the totem.
Reward: A totem which gives the entire tribe a decision after the Territorial Challenge, deciding between keeping the results of the Challenge, or they could decide where each tribe would go.
Winner: Luis Arellano

Challenge: The tribes will swim towards a boat with their respective color. Then, the tribes will board their respective boats. Once all 6 members are on the boat, the boat will move to a point close to shore, where they'll swim to be reunited with their captains. Depending on their placements when they arrive to shore, the teams will receive a lighter, matches or a flint, to aid them in the final part of the challenge. Once all 7 are reunited, the tribes will move a series of boxes to release a giant box. Then they will have to untie all knots around the box to retrieve a sled. Once they have the sled, the tribes will carry the sled to the next phase, where 2 contestants will dig a hole to find an axe, which they'll use to break 2 walls and collect the wood from the walls. Afterwards, the tribes will cross a series of balancing bridges and collect some coconut husk. The tribes will then make their way to a T-post, where they'll retrieve two bags with paraffin wax. Once they have both bags, they'll use the lighter/matches/flint to make fire. Then, one contestant will stand on a platform, where they'll hold a torch to the fire, and light up a platter.

High Beach: Banda
Medium Beach: Godínez
Low Beach: Pudientes

Challenge: Each couple will dig under a pole to pass through, afterwards, they'll each cross a balance beam, then move across a rope, only using a cane as support. Then, the castaway will find a pole, so they can push one of the 6 pieces of the puzzle into a box. The contestant will pull the box, so they can grab the piece, then, the contestant will cross the entire course again, then the other contestant will go. Once they have all pieces, both contestants will assemble the puzzle.
Winners: Gabriela Quevedo and Yuriko Santander

Challenge: Stomp-ede
One contestant will cross a balance beam with a coconut to give it to the next tribemate, who will be attached to a band. The contestant will run to give the coconut to another tribemate, who is hanging in a swing. They will then pass the coconut through two other tribemates, and the last one will try to land it in a wooden base. The last two tribemates will place the coconut in a catapult, and then throw the coconut up a wooden tower. The tribes need to land 25 coconut on the tower.
Advantage: Land 5 coconuts less. (Given to Banda)
Punishment: Land 5 more coconuts. (Given to Godínez)
Winner: Godínez

Challenge: The contestant will throw an ankle to land it in a metal ring, then, they will pull the ankle, releasing 10 sandbags. The contestant will then pass the sandbags in pairs through a web from one side to the other. Then, they'll throw the sandbags in four baskets at different heights, landing at least one in each basket.
Winner: Silverio Dionicio
Eliminated: Andrea Escalona

Voting Confessionals

(voting for Laura) My vote's for Laura. It may be too fast, but she hasn't had a game where she could show her qualities, and she definitely has some. But I think this is better for the team.

Luis

(voting for Laura) My vote is for Laura, it's a team strategy. We want to be strong and keep battling.

Adrián

(voting for Laura) It's very hard, honestly we didn't want to come to this decition, but I vote for Laura. Because we made a decision. It's hard, but I think we're all gonna be in this place.

Gabriela

(voting for Laura) I vote for Laura as well. I think the teams come very strong. We use all of the men and we have to ensure a victory.

Miguel M.

(voting for Laura) My vote is for Laura, because that's the way we decided, and now we have to work as a team, and as a team we decided it.

Yuriko

(voting for Silverio) My vote will be for Silverio, because I'd like leaving my team with the strongest men.

Laura

(voting for Laura) My vote will be for Laura as well, it's a decision that we've taken as a team. She knows it's nothing personal. Whatever happens we'll be united, in and out of here.

Silverio

(voting for Silverio) As I've said it, my vote's for Silverio, because I think the team needs the strongest men. Just that.

Laura

Voting Confessionals

(voting for Juan Carlos) My vote is for Juan Carlos, because he's handsome and I'm salty. I'm very salty. Also because he roots for Chivas.[1] I think there's gonna be a lot of conflicts, and well, (expletive censor) him.

Facundo

(voting for Andrea) It's hard, isn't it? Well, my vote is for Andy. Honestly it's hard picking someone, since we all get along. And it's not as easy as saying that someone is weaker or stronger, but I think we're all at an equal lever here. So, since she was one of the people I talked to last, Andreita.

Ayra

(voting for Andrea) Alright, my vote, is also for Andrea. Nothing personal, it's just a decision based on her ability to swim, in the first challenges she had a hard time catching up to the team, and it's just for the team's benefit, we want to be in a better territory and we want to avoid being here again.

Juan Carlos

(voting for Juan Carlos) For Juan Carlos. Strategy.

Andrea

(voting for Andrea) My vote will also be for Andrea. I think we all have to remember this is a competition, and I think, we have to go out according to how little we contribute to the team every week, so we can benefit the team.

Miguel N.

(voting for Andrea) Well, my vote is for Andy. Unfortunately, there were challenges that she couldn't complete, so, it's mainly strategy.

Fernanda

(voting for Andrea) Nothing personal Andy. You know I love you but you have some problems swimming, and we want to get stronger for the next challenges, and arrive to High Beach.
