These are the first 4 episodes from La Isla 2017: El Reality.
Story[]
Day 1[]
The episode begins with all 21 contestants travelling from mainland Dominican Republic to the Island they'll stay in. Afterwards, Alejandro Lukini informs them that their package will be dropped in three boxes, on three different parts of the island. He also informs them that 3 contestants will also drop from the airplane, and that those three are the captains of their teams. The three chosen ones are Facundo Gómez, Aristeo Cázares, and Luis Arellano. When all three arrive on land, they'll compete on a special challenge to win a Totem, which will grant them a special power for their entire team. Luis wins the challenge.
“ | Without a doubt, Luis is strong. He beat me, fair and square, and he's stronger on those challenges. We'll see more obstacles, those obstacles, they're different. Well done, Luis. | ” |
After the challenge, the captains reunite with their teams, who will now compete in the first Territorial Challenge, where they're informed of the tribe division, being the War of the Classes. Banda wins High Beach, while Godínez wins Medium beach, and Pudientes stay on Low Beach. After the challenge, Lukini reveals the power that Luis won, which lets his team change the results of the Challenge, but his team chooses not to do so. Lukini then informs them that the teams have to pick two women from each team to compete in a future challenge.
Day 2[]
“ | Arriving to High beach is the best, the best! I was so hungry, we hadn't eaten anything, anything, like zero, anything. | ” |
“ | Arriving to High Beach is like a dream. Even better being the first ones arriving to High Beach. It gives you a lot of energy for tomorrow. You've seen that you can do it, then tomorrow you can do it as well. I've never had these privileges, up until now. Well, I feel happy for having them, and thankful for all of the experience I'm living. I don't think that classes exist right now, since we're the lower class, and we're living like the higher class, enjoying these privileges. And the higher class is living like us, the lower class, suffering like the way we live in. | ” |
—Luis |
“ | Honestly this has never disturbed me at all. The truth is that Low Beach seemed like a nice place, I'm not even hungry, but I would like to have at least dry clothes. But, to be honest, the Pudientes have a very nice vibe and a lively spirit. Right now I believe the only problem is the food because there's absolutely nothing. It's horrible, I mean, I thought there was gonna be at least something. There's nothing! I'm gonna eat this plant right here. | ” |
“ | It's very (expletive censor), very (expletive censor). I never thought it was gonna be like this. Honestly it's very hard. | ” |
“ | Medium Beach, well, it's nice. I mean, we won't be asking High Beach for anything. | ” |
“ | I love Medium Beach, it's incredible. It's a pretty little hut. Only problem is that there wasn't that much food. We haven't eaten all day, so when the time comes to eat, I'd think the food is very little for everyone. | ” |
Once all three tribes have settled in their beaches, the captains make their choices for the upcoming challenge. Luis picked Yuriko and Gabriela, since he thought Laura would get tired very quickly, while Facundo picked Fernanda and Ayra, because he thought they were the two strongest women, and Aristeo picked Antonieta and Teresa, because he trusts in them.
Once all 6 arrive, Lukini reveals that the winner of the challenge will receive an advantage in the next Immunity Challenge, and will also receive the power to give a disadvantage to either of the two teams. Yuriko and Gabriela win the challenge, and recieve the advantage.
Day 3[]
The three couples report the results of the challenge, and all three tribes think that the Banda tribe will give the disadvantage to the Godínez tribe. Once the tribes arrive to the Immunity Challenge, the blue team does give the disadvantage to the green team, but it doesn't matter, since the Godínez tribe wins. While on the Immunity Challenge, Facundo suffered from heat exhaustion, and had to be temporarily removed from the challenge. Juan Carlos Vergara took his place. Once the challenge is over, Lukini surprises everyone by saying that there will be no Final Challenge, meaning the two losing tribes will go to Trial.
Day 4[]
While the green team is resting, the other two tribes are pondering on the new mechanics of the Trial. On Pudientes, Ayra and Andrea Escalona feel in trouble since they've had a weak performance. Facundo later arrives to his beach and is welcomed by his team.
“ | My main problem is that I'm very stubborn, I give it my all, and I always end up like this, almost dying. But yesterday, I assumed I needed water, but I also needed to sleep, some food, affection, to be understood, a lot of things I couldn't have in there. And when I arrived, they thought I was gonna give up and I was gonna return to my house, but no, I'm not that dumb. I'm not a big crybaby, I still have some days to show my power. | ” |
On Banda, the men of the tribe want to band together to vote out one of the women, and all 3 women feel unsafe and willing to vote for one of the men. Silverio Dionicio feels in trouble the most, but Luis and Adrián Arrieta said that they would not vote for Silverio.
Once both tribes arrive to the Trial, Lukini informs them of the new mechanics. First, each team will go to the back part of the Trial to vote to save someone from the opposing tribe. After they save someone, the tribes will vote on a nominee from their own team. The Banda tribe nominates Laura Duque, since she is the weakest of the tribe, while the Pudientes tribe nominates Andrea, for being the weakest at swimming.
The blue team saves Ayra, while the orange team saves Laura, and she decides to nominate Silverio, because she considers him the weakest of the men. Lukini sends the teams back to their beaches, and Silverio and Andrea stay with the host. Once they arrived to the Duel, Silverio was confident in that he would return, while Andrea said she would be disappointed in herself if she loses. Silverio wins, and Andrea was eliminated.
