All 18 castaways are flown into the Dominican Republic by private planes, and, although they are initially divided into 12 celebrities and 6 non-celebrities, Lukini notifies them that the game will be played in 3 tribes of 6. This leads to a random draw to determine how the 12 celebrities will be split, with the six names being drawn going to the Green Famosos tribe, and the remaining six will be the Orange Celebridades Tribe:
As it was predetermined before the contestants arrived, the Celebridades will head to High Beach and have all of the amenities. The Famosos will go to Medium Beach where, while they don't have the luxuries the other team has, they'll be well set for the first few days. And finally, the Desconocidos Tribe, wearing Blue, will live at Low Beach, with minimal resources and supplies.

Challenge: There was no challenge, as the outcome was decided in advance by the staff. High Beach:Celebridades Medium Beach:Famosos Low Beach:Desconocidos
Challenge:Quest for Fire The contestants will paddle across the sea, to a raft with a fireplace on it, to release it, since it's tied to the bottom of the sea. They'll then return to the beach and, along the way, light five urns that will free boards, which they'll use to assemble a ramp, which will lead them to a huge torch that they'll have to light up. Winners:Desconocidos
Challenge:The Obstacle Course While the castaways are tied up, they'll have to cross a series of obstacles. After the first station they'll find a chest with a knife on it, that they'll use to cut the rope, splitting themselves into two groups. Then, they'll cross more obstacles to find another chest, where, with that knife, they'll cut all the ropes, letting them move on their own. On the final station, they have to eat a worm before moving on to a tightrope, to get to the end of the course. Winners:Famosos

(voting against El Bofo) Because he's a friend, he's a peer, and I have to decide for somebody. So, I think I'm committed to say, someone I know, who I think knows also why I'm doing it. It's my pleasure to know that I have to decide for him, for a friend like him.

(voting against Belem) I think she lacked a little bit of commitment and heart in the challenges when we were all giving our best, and it's difficult, because this is a team that has many virtues, and I think that voting for someone to leave is a great weakness.
(votando en contra de Ivonne) Razones serias y prudentes. Creo, a lo mejor me estoy volviendo loco, pero creo que están empezando a complotear y me parece que ella sería una persona con la que puedo competir en este complot.

(voting against Ivonne) Serious and prudent reasons. I think, maybe I'm going crazy, but I think they are starting to conspire and it seems to me that she would be a person with whom I can compete in this plot.
