La Isla 2012: El Reality is the first season of La Isla.

At the end, the season was won by María Reneé Núñez after beating Julio César Frías at the Finale.

Development

This season, competition took place on locations in the Dominican Republic; Where the 18 contestants was divided into three tribes: the Celebrities (Sol (2012)), the Famous people (Estrella (2012)​) and the Fameless people (Luna (2012)).

Actor and host Alejandro Lukini is the one who welcomed the participants.

Weekly Schedule

The program airs on Azteca 7 from Mondays to Thursdays, and the schedule goes as follows:

Twists/Changes

  • Celebrities vs. Fameless: In the reality show is a group of players made up of 12 renowned Mexican and South American characters, known as the island celebrities and 6 fameless players called also the challengers.

^1 The castaway who was supposed to be voted out was saved by the judges, and since they'd gotten the majority of the votes, that entire voting round was nullified, and a new one commenced.
^2 The vote resulted in a tie. Per La Isla rules, the castaway saved by the judges had to decide which of the castaways would be voted out.
^3 The castaway saved by the Judges was originally part of a 4-way tie, but due to the Judges' decision, the votes against them were nullified. Since it was still a tie, per La Isla rules, that castaway would break the tie.

  • In this season, like the Second and Third, the first voted out of the competition, is a Woman of the Orange tribe.
  • It is the first season in which two participants of the same original and absorbed tribe face each other in the Finale.
