Koh-Lanta: Viêtnam is the twelfth season of Koh-Lanta.

Philippe Duron defeated Claude Dartois in a 6-1 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor.

Production

This season took place in the Côn Đảo archipelago in Vietnam.

Twists

• Battle of the Sexes: For the second time, the castaways are divided into tribes based on gender, but following a Day 1 twist, one woman would be a part of the men's tribe and one man would be a part of the women's tribe.
• False Day 1 Eliminations: Before the marooning, Denis Brogniart told the tribes that one man and one woman would not join the sixteen other castaways on the boat. Believing it was an elimination, Boris Deltell and Véronique Bègue volunteered to sacrifice themselves. However, they were later told that they were not eliminated and would each be transported to the opposite gender's tribe camp.
• Tribe Switch: On Day 8, a Tribe Switch occurred where two castaways, one man and one woman, would be named captains. The captains would start a Schoolyard Pick and alternating picking castaways of the opposite gender until two new tribes of eight were created.
• Return: Due to two evacuations and a quit, three castaways (Virginie Mercadal Pioli, Marine Plissonneau and Aurélie Gasser) re-entered the game.

Notes: ^1 Because of a dizzy spell, Alain was taken to Saigon for treatment. He was exempt from Vang's upcoming Tribal Council. ^2 Alain was medically evaucated from the game after the recovery from his dizzy spell would be longer than expected. Virginie returned to the game to replace him. ^3 Jennifer elected to quit the game due to missing her loved ones. Marine returned to the game to replace her, switch tribes in the process. ^4 At the ambassador's meeting, Claude and Kunlé had to vote on one castaway to eliminate. They both decided to vote out Boris. ^5 Due to Valentin burning his fingers, he was exempt from Tribal Council ^6 Valentin was medically evacuated from the game after burning his fingers and his recovery being longer than expected. She would return the next day. ^8 At the final four, the remaining castaways competed in an elimination challenge. Véronique came in last and was eliminated. ^9 Claude and Wafa did not vote as they could only vote for were each other. By virtue of winning the final Immunity Challenge, only Philippe voted.
