Koh-Lanta: Vanuatu was the sixth season of Koh-Lanta, the French version of Survivor. This season took place in Vanuatu, and was broadcast on TF1 from July 21 to September 5, 2006, on Fridays at 8:55 p.m. The two original tribes this season were Mosso and Tana. Along with the typical aspects of the game, this season contestants had to deal with both a cyclone and a series of earthquakes (one of which damaged the Immunity Idol). Due to several medical evacuations, Alain, Nathalie, and Sébastien who were all initially eliminated early on returned to the game.

Twists

• Old vs. Young: The 16 contestants will be divided up into two tribes based on their ages. The Mosso tribe will feature contestants over the age of 30, and the Tana tribe will include contestants aged 30 years and younger.
• Tribe Switch: After winning the Reward Challenge on Day 13, Tana could permanently take one of Mosso's members. They chose Sébastien Roullé.
• Ambassadors: The ambassador's summit is not to decide the name and the flag of the new tribe, but to choose one of the remaining castaways to cast an extra vote for the next Tribal Council. If ambassadors do not agree on a name, there's a rock tiebreaker and the unlucky ambassador gets the extra vote.
• Replacements: Due to three evacuations, three players returned to the game after being voted out.
