Koh-Lanta: Thaïlande is the eighteenth season of Koh-Lanta. It was broadcast from February 12 to May 27, 2016.

Wendy Gervois defeated Pascal Salviani in a 6-5 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor.

Twists/Changes

• Tribe Selection: After the marooning, the 20 castaways must spend the first night at the beach they arrived at. While on the beach, they find a message saying that the next day, only 18 of them will form the tribes: they must choose two of them that will stay on the beach. On Day 2, the 18 castaways who left the beach are divided into two tribes by a Schoolyard Pick led by the youngest man (Marius Torterat) and the youngest woman (Wendy Gervois).
• Island of Necklaces: This is an island away from the two tribe camps, where several Immunity Necklaces (equivalent of Hidden Immunity Idols) are hidden. In Episode 1, the two castaways who stayed on the marooning beach are taken to this island. They stay there until Day 4, before the second Reward Challenge, where they join the tribes. Immediately after, each tribe must send a castaway from the opposite tribe to the Island of the Necklaces. These castaways will not take part in the next two challenges, and will skip Tribal Council. This is repeated in every episode until the Tribe Switch. After the merge, at the Day 21 Reward Challenge, the winner is given the opportunity to exile themselves to the Island of the Necklaces for one day, giving away the reward to the other castaways who reached the final stage of the challenge. Also, at the final six Reward Challenge, the winner has the choice of either enjoying their food reward or spending one day on the Island of the Necklaces, giving away the reward to the castaway of their choice.
• Replacement: Due to Charlie Vincent-Mussard quitting before the first Tribal Council, Laureen Hugel joined the game on Day 3. She was exempt from the Day 3 Tribal Council that Karwaï attended and was ineligible to cast a vote.
• Tribe Switch: A message was hidden on the Island of the Necklaces, giving "a great power" to its founder. When the exiled return from the island, all castaways are told that a tribe shuffle will occur with a new Schoolyard Pick. The message founder becomes the leader of their former tribe, and must also choose the leader of the opposite tribe.
• Ambassadors: At the merge, each tribe sends an ambassador to a meeting. Their purpose is to directly eliminate a castaway from the game, and if the two ambassadors do not agree on a name, one of the two is eliminated by a rock draw. This season, like in Johor, the ambassadors are chosen by the opposite tribe, without any diplomats being sent.
• Tied Destinies: On Day 24, the ten remaining castaways were divided into five pairs by a rock draw. Until the next Tribal Council, the fate of each castaway is linked to their partner: the challenges are competed as pairs, and the castaway voted out at Tribal Council also causes their partner's elimination.
• Camp Move: On Day 31, while the merged tribe is living at the former Karwaï camp, they are told to move to the former Aopoh camp for the rest of the game.

Trivia

• Excluding seasons with returning players, this is the first season of Koh-Lanta since Les Aventuriers where nobody returned to the game after being voted out.
• This is the first regular Koh-Lanta season since Palawan to feature no medical evacuation. However, at the time of Palawan, quitters were still replaced by the previously eliminated castaway. This has no longer been the case since Raja Ampat, unless a castaway quits before the first Tribal Council. In this case, a new castaway enters the game, which happened this season for the first time.
