Koh-Lanta: L'Île au Trésor is the nineteenth season of Koh-Lanta. It was broadcast on TF1 from August 26 to December 9, 2016.

Benoît Assadi defeated Jesta Hillmann in a 10-0 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor.

Twists

• Tribe Selection: Immediately upon their arrival, the castaways find a message telling them that a piece of metal is hidden close to them, and the person who finds it will have an early advantage in the game. After Jean-Luc Duboscq finds the piece, he is told that he will be the leader of one of the two tribes, and he must choose the leader of the opposing tribe: he chooses Bruno Troester. Jean-Luc must then divide the 18 other castaways into the two tribes, with Bruno ultimately deciding which tribe he and Jean-Luc will be on. After the first Reward Challenge, Jean-Luc is sent to L'Île au Trésor (Treasure Island).
• Treasure Island: The namesake of the season, this is an island away from the two tribe camps. On this island is hidden a buried chest containing a "Golden Ring", which automatically guarantees its finder a spot in the final five. To find the chest, the castaways must first find ten markers which each contain a metallic piece pointing to the next marker. All ten pieces are required to open the chest. In the first episode, the castaway who found the metallic piece at the initial challenge is the first person to spend 24 hours on the island. During the pre-merge phase of the game, after each Reward Challenge, the person who previously went to the island must send another castaway from the winning tribe to the island. After the merge, the winner of each Reward Challenge is given the choice between enjoying the reward or going to the island. If they choose the island, they must give the reward to someone else, and if they choose the reward, they must send someone else to the island. This continues until the ring is found.
• Hidden Immunity Necklaces: The Hidden Immunity Necklaces are hidden at pre-merge challenge sites, while clues are hidden at the two camps.
• Tribe Switch: After the Day 13 Reward Challenge, both tribes are told to choose one of their members who will permanently join the opposing tribe. These castaways would be granted individual immunity at the first post-switch Tribal Council, should their new tribe lose the subsequent Immunity Challenge.
• Pre-merge Individual Immunity Challenge: On Day 18, after the Immunity Challenge, the members of the losing tribe compete in an individual challenge where the winner would get individual immunity at Tribal Council.
• Ambassadors: At the merge, each tribe sends an ambassador to a meeting. Their purpose is to directly eliminate a castaway from the game, and if the two ambassadors do not agree on a name, one of the two is eliminated by a rock draw.
• Camp Move: On Day 28, while the merged tribe is living at the former Naga camp, they are told to move to the former Sambor camp for the rest of the game.
• Sudden Death Elimination Challenge: On Day 32, all remaining castaways, except the Golden Ring holder, take part in a special challenge, where the person who finishes in last is directly eliminated from the game.
• Challenge Loss Penalty: On Day 36, the castaway who finished last in the Immunity Challenge would have an extra vote cast against them at the following Tribal Council.
• Final Five: Instead of occurring at the final four, the standard orienteering challenge occurred at the final five, with the two losers being eliminated.

Trivia

• During the season's broadcast, before the Finale, it was revealed that Benoît and Jesta had been dating for several months. This was later confirmed by the couple themselves during the Reunion Show.
