Koh-Lanta: Fidji is the twenty-first season of Koh-Lanta. It was broadcast on TF1 from September 1 to December 15, 2017.

André Deleplace defeated Tiffany Gounin in an 8-1 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor.

Twists

• Old vs. Young: The 20 castaways were divided into two tribes based on their age. Makawa consisted of castaways over the age of 30, and Coravu consisted of castaways aged 30 and younger.
• Lost Paradise: This is an island where one castaway from each tribe is sent after every Reward Challenge during the pre-merge phase of the game. 11 chests were hidden on the island, and each contained one or two advantages that must be shared between the two castaways (some of these advantages are split into two parts and can only be used when the two parts are reunited). Only one chest can be opened per episode: when the two castaways on the island find a chest, they can't look for another one.
  • In Episode 1, the person who wins the individual part of the Reward Challenge (which is held during the marooning) goes to the Lost Paradise immediately after the challenge, and must choose one castaway from the opposing tribe to go with them.
  • During the rest of the pre-merge phase, after each Reward Challenge, the winning tribe chooses one castaway from the opposing tribe to visit their camp. After the visit, this castaway chooses someone from the winning tribe and the two of them go to the Lost Paradise.
  • In Episodes 9 and 11, the two winners of the Reward Challenge are given the option to send themselves to the Lost Paradise instead of the reward.
  • In Episode 10, before the Reward Challenge, the nine remaining castaways are divided into two teams of four by a Schoolyard Pick. The person left unpicked immediately leaves the challenge site and - unbeknownst to the other castaways - is sent to the Lost Paradise.
  • In Episode 12, the winner of the Reward Challenge can choose someone to go with them either at the reward or on the Lost Paradise.
• Replacements: Due to three evacuations, two castaways (Marvyn Leone and André) returned to the game after being voted out, and May Peitavi entered the game on Day 3 to replace Marine Alves, who was evacuated before the first Tribal Council.
• Tribe Switch: Immediately after the marooning, the castaways are informed that a Tribe Switch will occur in 10 days. On Day 10, the contestants who went to the Lost Paradise in the first three episodes competed in an individual challenge where the two winners would become the new tribe leaders for a Schoolyard Pick.
• Schoolyard Pick: On Day 10, the two winners of the individual challenge would pick the new tribes.
• Sudden Death Elimination Challenge: The Day 10 individual challenge is also a sudden death elimination challenge. The castaway who finished in last would be directly eliminated from the game.
• Impromptu Tribal Council: In Episode 4, Tribal Council is held immediately after the Immunity Challenge at the challenge site.
• Pre-merge Individual Immunity Challenge: On Day 18, after the Immunity Challenge, the members of the losing tribe compete in an individual challenge where the winner would get individual immunity at Tribal Council.
• Ambassadors: At the merge, both tribes send an ambassador to a meeting. Their purpose is to directly eliminate a castaway from the game, and if the two ambassadors do not agree on a name, one of the two is eliminated by a rock draw. This season, the ambassadors are chosen by the opposing tribe, without any diplomats being sent.
• Black Vote: The black vote keeps the mechanics introduced in Cambodge: starting from the first post-merge Tribal Council, the person voted out gives to a remaining castaway the power to vote twice at the following Tribal Council.
• Tied Destinies: On Day 31, the eight remaining castaways were divided into four pairs by a rock draw. Until the next Tribal Council, the fate of each castaway is linked to their partner: the challenges are competed as pairs, and the castaway voted out at Tribal Council also causes their partner's elimination.
• Challenge Loss Penalty: On Day 35, a special challenge would be held, where the castaway who finished last would have an extra vote cast against them at the following Tribal Council, unless they won the subsequent Immunity Challenge.

Notes: ^1Two Reward Challenges were run at the same time: one between a member of each tribe, and one between the rest of the tribes. Romain won the individual race for Makawa against Théotime, and Coravu won the team race. ^2The five castaways who went to the Lost Paradise beforehand competed in individual elimination challenge.
