Kiko started the show forming a strong relationship with Laura Matamoros, in which they gossiped about other reality TV stars.[2] Host Jorge Javier Vázquez suggested a romance might be blossoming, but he later admitted he still could only think of his girlfriend back home, Sofía Suescun.[3] When Lorena Morlote arrived on Exile Island, she was carried onto the island by a jubilant Kiko, yet he was unaware that the other two had previous history together.
