A quiet member of the Escameca tribe, Kelly seemed to have gotten along with many of her tribe members. This would eventually paint a target on her back as she was on the Nagarote Alliance's radar for defecting from their alliance. This, along with Jenn Brown playing a Hidden Immunity Idol, contributed to her elimination.

Kelly started out on the Escameca tribe at the beginning of the season. She formed a quick bond with Mike Holloway, and they quickly formed an alliance with Rodney Lavoie Jr. and Dan Foley. After they finally lost immunity on Day 11, Rodney and Lindsey Cascaddan argued and wanted each other voted out. Sierra Dawn Thomas and Lindsey Cascaddan were voting Rodney, while Dan Foley was voting for Lindsey and Rodney was voting for Lindsey. Kelly and Mike became swing votes and pondered over who should go next. At Tribal Council, Kelly and Mike decided to split the vote between Lindsey and Sierra, with Lindsey being voted out. When everyone switched tribes the next day, she was the only Escameca member moving to Nagarote. She then teamed up with the No Collars and Carolyn Rivera to vote out Max Dawson on Day 14. On Day 16, the No Collars won immunity after the blue collars threw the challenge with Mike even whispering to Kelly that blue collars were throwing the challenge. When she got to the merge, she rejoined the Blue Collars and the teamed up with the White Collars to vote out Jenn Brown. At the Day 19 Tribal Council, she voted against Jenn with her alliance, but Jenn played her Hidden Immunity Idol, and sent Kelly home in a 4-1-0 vote.
