Tribe History
Episodes 8-10
In Skin of My Teeth (Episode 8), the two tribes witness Laura Morett winning the re-entrance duel and they are told that they are now one merged tribe. Aras believes that he is the leader of the majority that includes himself, Vytas, Tina, Katie, Gervase, Tyson, and Monica. Tyson goes searching the hidden idol at the merged camp, which is the old Tadhana camp and find the idol. In a memory recall immunity challenge, it came down to the two brothers Aras and Vytas. Vytas wins and Aras wants to split the vote between Laura Morett and Ciera (just in case the "minority" has an Idol). At Tribal Council, a discussion of the numerous ways that the vote can take (couples vs individual, women vs men, returnees vs loved ones, etc.) takes place. Tyson is able to form an alliance which turns out to be the majority alliance that includes Tyson, Gervase, Laura Morett, Ciera, Caleb, Hayden, and Monica. The majority alliance is able to vote off Aras by a vote of 7-2-2.
In My Brother's Keeper (Episode 9), two Immunity Challenges and Tribal Councils take place. Tina tries to stir up trouble by trying to place Tyson and Monica as traitors of her alliance, but Tyson is able to quell this with saying that they weren't in an alliance that worked. Tina tells her daughter Katie that she should try to get in a new alliance without her mother to further her daughter's game since Tina is in a bad place in the game. Tyson, Monica, and Vytas win in the first heat of the 1st round. Hayden, Gervase, and Caleb wins the second heat of the 1st round. Monica and Gervase advanced to the final round. Monica wins the first Immunity challenge. The majority alliance considers voting either Vytas (to complete sending the Baskauskas brothers to Redemption Island) or Katie (to get rid of a threat). Monica is classified as paranoid by other alliance members and is seen scrambling while she has the necklace. At Tribal Council, Vytas puts Monica on the spot because they were in an alliance at new Galang, but then Monica flipped after the merge. Vytas is voted out by a vote of 8-1-1. Back at camp, Monica says that she flipped her vote to Vytas instead of Katie, which gets Tyson and Gervase worried about the ill effects of Monica (though it seems apparent that it was not just Monica who switched her vote to Vytas). Hayden, Tyson, and Katie are the final three left standing in the second Immunity Challenge. Katie wins the second Immunity Challenge of the episode. Tina is voted out by a vote of 7-1-1 (Monica and Tyson received votes).
In Big Bad Wolf (Episode 10), Tina pulled out an early lead during the Redemption Island Duel, but she loses it as she struggled through the labyrinth, granting Vytas the first finishing spot, keeping in the game. Tina eventually comes in second, and Aras became the first Jury member. Monica won immunity and decided to sacrifice her reward and give the reward to the other castaways to get on their good graces. At Tribal Council It came down to either Katie or Laura M, with Laura M sent to Redemption Island by a vote of 7-1.
Episodes 11-13
In Gloves Come Off (Episode 11), Laura Morett finished the duel first and helped Tina place 2nd. Vytas joins his brother in Ponderosa. Ciera, Gervase, and Tyson chose to partake in a feast without competing in the Immunity Challenge. Monica wins her third Immunity Challenge. There was initial talk about voting out Katie (the last of the original minority alliance); however, Hayden and Caleb use the opportunity to blindside Tyson by bringing in Katie and Ciera into a secret alliance. Ciera tells Tyson about the alliance and he is able to convince Gervase and Monica to side with him to vote off Caleb. Caleb is voted off by a vote of 4-3.
In Rustle Feathers (Episode 12), Caleb loses the duel after almost placing 2nd when his tower of cards drop in the last minute with Tina happily counts down to her second place victory. Before the duel, Hayden makes a good move by commenting that Tyson has the game won unless someone makes a huge move against him due to the game-play that Tyson has done so far. Ciera gets a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol from her mother and reads out aloud to her alliance members (Tyson, Gervase, and Monica). When Hayden and Katie find out all six race to find the re-hidden Idol, but Tyson finds the Idol once again. Tyson feels implicitly safe, but Hayden and Gervase talk about possible ways of overthrowing him. Though Hayden seems like he got inside the alliance, Gervase wins immunity and invites Monica and Tyson to partake in his reward. At the Tribal Council, Hayden is able to get Ciera on his side and thus forced a 3-3 vote and then the non-tied vote receivers (Katie, Ciera, Tyson, and Gervase) get to vote again. The second vote is 2-2, which means that they are deadlocked. Jeff Probst states that unless Katie, Ciera, Tyson, and Gervase can unanimously vote one of the two (Hayden or Monica) out of the game, then Katie, Ciera, and Tyson were draw rocks. Ciera can not persuade Tyson or Gervase to vote Monica out, thus rocks are drawn. Katie draws the different colored Rock (white) and is sent to Redemption Island.
In Out On a Limb (Episode 13), Laura M wins again with Tina coming in 2nd. Katie is the 4th Jury member and Ciera gets a clue to the Idol. Hayden suspects that the Idol has been found and Tyson could have it. Hayden and Ciera try to wedge through a tight three-person alliance. Ciera wins immunity and invites Hayden to partake in the reward. Hayden is voted out 3-2 at Tribal Council.
Finale
In It's My Night (Season Finale), the four remaining castaways come back from Tribal Council and Ciera states that she will try again to get Monica on her and the Redemption Island returnee's side. Tina wins and re-enters the game. She makes an alliance with fellow outsider Ciera against the tight alliance of Tyson, Gervase, and Monica. They are the final five. Tyson wins the first Immunity Challenge. Ciera and Tina must target Gervase since he doesn't have the necklace and wont flip on his alliance. Tyson and Gervase try to get Monica to vote Ciera, but Monica wants Tina out first. This causes Monica to question where to place her deciding vote. Monica sticks to Tyson's alliance and Ciera is voted out 3-0 with Tyson giving the Idol to Gervase to play. The playing of the Idol makes Monica further her worries about Gervase and Tyson's trust in her, but she never did anything about it. Tyson wins the Final Immunity Challenge. Tina is expected to be voted out but Monica could force a 2-2 tie. Monica decides to stick with the Tyson and Gervase alliance and Tina is final Jury member by a vote of 3-1.
At the Final Tribal Council, Tyson is praised for his strategic moves and Monica gets emotional after the Jury tries to get her to be vulnerable and re-hashing the harsh perception of her. Gervase and Monica both pick Tyson to win when asked by Aras to vote for one of the two other finalists to win, whereas Tyson picks Monica since she acted like she was on the bottom of Tyson's alliance (at the beginning of merge phase) but in reality she was acting as a spy to get information on the minority. At the reunion show, Tyson wins with a vote of 7-1-0.
