La Isla: El Reality[]
2012[]
Julio César was part of the Fameless tribe. Where he proved to be one of the strongest competitors, which helped his tribe to remain immune during the first cycles until the second stage. In this new stage, Julio César's tribe did go to trial, but he was only at risk in one of them, as he managed to win individual immunity in the others.
Finally, Julio César made it to the merge, where he completely swept, being immune in all the cycles until the semifinal, where he was also victorious, allowing him to reach the finale. The challenge of the finale turned out to be technically a challenge of luck, which was not on his side and he was defeated by María Renee Núñez, placing him in 2nd place. However, he was left with a trip to Europe for 2 people, won in a Reward Challenge.

This vote ended with a 2-2-1-1 tie between Julio César and Lourdes. Therefore, the saved by the judges (Gaby) had to decide the voted out between the contestants involved in the tie.
La Revancha[]
Julio César was assigned to the Oro tribe, where he again proved to be that strong competitor from his season, but this time with a much stronger personality that caused him to have a bad relationship with several tribe mates. Even so, Julio César's tribe appreciated his performance in the challenges and made it to the merge.
At the merge, everyone obviously saw Julio César as a major physical threat, so they planned to vote him out at the second trial. However, Julio César managed to convince the judge who was Ricardo Alcalá to veto the vote and save him, managing to survive one more cycle. In the next cycle, Julio César failed to win individual immunity and was nominated against Ricardo, where in a close competition he was defeated and eliminated.
