José María Íñigo was a Spanish TV presenter and journalist, with a career spanning five decades. He was most famous for his work on the Eurovision Song Contest as spokesperson from 1975 to 1976, and as commentator from 2011 until 2017.

José María was the on-location host for Supervivientes: Perdidos en el Caribe in 2006, communicating with main host Jesús Vázquez in Madrid by satellite link-up. He left the show after one series, replaced by Mario Picazo.

José María joined Supervivientes when it swapped from Antena 3 to Telecinco in 2006. He flew out to the Dominican Republic and was the host linking up with Jesús Vázquez in Madrid from there. He departed after just one series.

On his death in 2018, the show dedicated the Sunday night broadcast on May 6, Conexión Honduras, to him.[1]
