Joel Dommett was the third host of Survivor (U.K.), fronting the BBC's revival in 2023. He is a well-known British comedian and TV host.
Biography[]
Joel Patrick Dommett was born on 8 June 1985 in Rockhampton, Gloucestershire. He moved to London at the age of 19.
Joel is best known in the UK for hosting The Masked Singer and its spinoff The Masked Dancer. He also finished as the runner-up on Series 16 of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and went on to present the spin-off show I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp from 2017 to 2019.[1]

The BBC announced their revival of Survivor (U.K.) on September 5, 2022[2] after the series' initial run of two seasons received poor ratings on ITV upon airing between 2001 and 2002. Joel was announced as the host of the reboot on February 17, 2023[3], while also going on to narrate the series. He is the third on-location host of the franchise, following newsreader Mark Austin and cricket commentator Mark Nicholas.
