Jess Woburn is a contestant from Survivor U.K. (2023).
Jess was placed on the Caletón tribe and despite the tribe tending to vote out less athletic players, Jess made it through the early stages of the game fairly easily thanks to her strong social game, her alliance, but especially her endearing and vibrant personality. Her game plan quickly fell apart following a tribe switch on Day 14 which left Jess without her allies. This made her a target after former La Nena members Doug Swinbanks and Pegleg Bennett chose to side with Laurence Cardwell and Shai Ravindra. Due to her status as a social threat and perceived lack of challenge prowess, Jess became the sixth person voted out of the season.

What made you want to be a contestant on Survivor? It's the ultimate challenge of a lifetime and I fancied doing something wild as I approach 40. I also thought the 100K might come in handy!
What qualities did you think you'd bring to the game? Fun, laughter and positivity!
How did you prepare yourself mentally and physically for taking part? I increased my gym sessions and did more weightlifting to get physically stronger. Mentally, I just dug deep!
Did you have a strategy of how you were going to play the game? I never really had a game plan I just always said I would be true to myself and follow my heart and my gut instinct.
How competitive are you? I'm quite competitive but it's more a case of me being someone who will never give up.
What kind of challenges were you most looking forward to? Anything to do with jumping in the sea and swimming, so much fun!
How did you cope with living on a beach with no home comforts? Everything about it was my literal worst nightmare, I was so out of my comfort zone but I did it.
What did you learn from being on the show or what is the biggest takeaway? The biggest thing I learnt was that I'm stronger than I thought![1]

Jess began the game on the Caletón tribe, where she began making social connections with her fellow tribe members, seeming to get along with everyone except Shai Ravindra. Following Caletón's first immunity loss, Jess voted against Shai, but he remained safe as the rest of the tribe decided to vote out Richard Kinnear McKell. The Caletón tribe went on a brief winning streak before the tribes were instructed to send their "quickest thinker" to an outpost. Jess, like the majority of her tribe chose to send Laurence Cardwell.
After Caletón lost their second Immunity Challenge, the tribe was informed that the person they voted out would not go home, but be sent to La Nena. Leilani Sen was voted out, despite Jess's campaigning against Shai. When Caletón went onto lose the next immunity challenge Jess and Rachel Golding wanted to target Shai, telling their alliance of Nathan Dyke, Matthew Haywood and Tinuke Oyediran that they should split the votes between Shai and Laurence. They were instead turned on by their alliance who voted out Rachel as she had injured herself earlier that day and therefore would be a challenge liability.
Jess, now scared of being on the outs because of Rachel's departure, was assured by her alliance that despite Laurence and Shai's challenge prowess, it would be one of them going home if Caletón lost again. This plan was interfered by a tribe swap where Jess lost allies Matthew and Tinuke and gained former La Nena members Pegleg Bennett and Doug Swinbanks, making Jess the only woman remaining on the Caletón tribe. Now forced to play nice with Laurence and Shai, Nathan and Jess promised them an alliance against the newcomers, with each side not intending to go through with the plan.
When Caletón eventually lost an immunity challenge, Jess and Nathan attempted to flip Doug and Pegleg to their side, but the two had already sided with Laurence and Shai, and as Jess was a stronger social player than Nathan, the four blindsided Jess at that night's Tribal Council, making her the sixth person voted out.
