Jenny Kim is a contestant from Survivor 42.
As the elders of the Vati tribe, Jenny paired up with Mike Turner in a tribe of three pairs vying for control. Though they successfully swayed swing votes Chanelle Howell and Daniel Strunk to their side, their four-person majority was destabilized when Chanelle and Mike both lost their votes, causing a deadlock that ended with Jenny being eliminated in a tiebreaker consensus.

Occupation: Creative Director
Favorite Hobbies: Travel, Pilates, writing, watching movies
3 Words to Describe You: Direct, open and compassionate
Pet Peeves: Arrogant people and those with a sense of entitlement
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of? As a designer, my career has certainly taken hard hits during times of recession. In those times, I've never given up and have, at times, shifted gears to a new career path (i.e., I became a certified Pilates instructor following the 2008 recession). I am proud of every twist and turn I have adapted to and can confidently say I am a successful design leader today.
What is something we would never know from looking at you? I know how to weld and build furniture out of metal. I worked in a metal shop for a year. I'm crafty and good with my hands.
Who is your hero and why? My husband is my hero. He left Australia to follow his dream to live in New York with two suitcases and enough money to last a few months. He's not afraid to try something different and take risks. He saved me from settling in life and inspires me to always strive for more!
Which past Survivor will you play the game most like? Kelley Wentworth's tenacity is definitely something I will emulate. I don't give up! Lauren Beck because she really studied and watched people to understand their motives. I love to study human behavior.
Why do you believe you can be the Sole Survivor? I have a high EQ (emotional intelligence). This means I know how to read people well and understand what they are feeling. I'm also a great listener and leader and know I will be able to gain trust.[2]
Survivor[]
After her tribe lost the first Reward Challenge, Jenny quickly impressed her Vati tribemates by solving the triangle puzzle, earning them flint in the process. Vati would then be split into three pairs, with Jenny and Mike Turner pairing up based on their similarities in age. Jenny joined Maryanne Oketch and Drea Wheeler on a journey where her decision to protect her vote gave Maryanne and Drea an Extra Vote. Vati enjoyed an early winning streak, becoming the last of the three tribes to attend Tribal Council. That did not slow down the struggle for control, as Jenny and Mike competed with Hai Giang and Lydia Meredith for the loyalty of swing votes Chanelle Howell and Daniel Strunk. Jenny's efforts took a hit when Mike found the Beware Advantage, granting him a Hidden Immunity Idol that, until activated, prevented him from voting. However, Chanelle and Daniel eventually committed to working with Jenny and Mike.
Vati lost their first Immunity Challenge on Day 7, but before they could return to camp, Chanelle was sent to a journey with Omar Zaheer. Chanelle's decision to risk her vote proved costly, as now Jenny and Daniel would be the only ones voting at Tribal Council, but Chanelle kept that information to herself. The rivalling alliances targeted Jenny and Lydia, and the lost votes resulted in a 2-2 initial tie. Daniel and Hai were the only ones eligible to revote, and when a 1-1 deadlock occurred, Daniel immediately folded. Clearly not wanting to go to a rock drawing tiebreaker, he turned on Jenny, causing her to be eliminated by consensus and finish in 15th place.
