Koh-Lanta[]
At the beginning of the game, Jean-Luc was the contestant who found the hidden arrow. As a stipulation for him finding this arrow, Jean-Luc would become the captain of his tribe, he would choose who would be the captain of his rival tribe, and he would divide the remaining contestants into two groups, after which the rival captain would assign both captains to a group each to form two tribes. Jean-Luc chose Bruno Troester to be his rival captain and, after forming the two groups, he was assigned by Bruno to be the captain of the Naga tribe. Apart from this advantage, the hidden arrow allowed for Jean-Luc to be the first contestant to visit Treasure Island, though he did not succeed in finding the Golden Ring. Upon returning to camp, Jean-Luc quickly earned the respect of the majority of his tribemates as the Naga tribe's leader and he viewed his tribemates as family. Unfortunately, during the third cycle, Jean-Luc injured his thigh in a challenge. After the Naga tribe lost the fourth Immunity Challenge, Sandrine Bouzekri confronted Jean-Luc over how he was handling certain camp chores as a leader. With Sandrine and Jean-Luc both sustaining injuries that could hinder the Naga tribe in challenges and being bold presences around camp, Jean-Luc felt that there wouldn't be enough room for the two of them going forward and successfully blindsided Sandrine at the corresponding Tribal Council. After the fifth Reward Challenge, Denis Brogniart instructed both tribes to nominate someone to switch tribes permanently. Wanting to protect his Koh-Lanta family, Jean-Luc immediately volunteered to switch to the Sambor tribe and wrote his name down on the parchment. Jean-Luc switched tribes with Ludivine Wiart and both were granted individual immunity for the remainder of the cycle. Knowing that he would be safe for the time being, Jean-Luc intentionally annoyed his new tribemates and hindered their morale in order to affect the tribe's performance at the fifth Immunity Challenge. Jean-Luc's behaviour paid off as the second Sambor tribe lost said challenge, forcing them to eliminate one of their original members at the corresponding Tribal Council. Going into the sixth cycle, Jean-Luc changed his approach with his new tribemates and became likeable thanks to his work ethic around camp and his charisma. The second Sambor tribe lost the sixth Immunity Challenge and Jean-Luc lost the surprise individual Immunity Challenge that followed to Benoît Assadi. Now being vulnerable, Jean-Luc pitched the idea of voting out Bruno to his tribemates and promised, should they keep him, to help the original Sambor tribe members vote out Jesta Hillmann, Alexandra Pharisien, and Jérémy Raffin come the merge before allowing either tribal alliance to pagong the other. Though his proposal was considered, tribal loyalty was ultimately prioritized and Jean-Luc was voted out at Tribal Council.
