Ayant été éliminé au Conseil de la Réunification, Javier a le sentiment que son aventure n'est pas bouclée, il est intimement persuadé qu'il doit la terminer d'une autre manière!
Pour lui Koh-Lanta est un jeu, où il faut faire fonctionner sa tête. En 2012, alors qu'il menait tambour battant toutes les stratégies, il s'est fait avoir par un collier d'immunité!
Il veut aujourd'hui affronter des stratèges de haut vol et faire marcher sa tête pour terminer premier.

Javier was selected by Camille Sold to be a part of the Sungaï tribe. Early in the game, Javier entered an alliance with Ugo Latriche, Brice Martinet, and Marie Parmentier and the quartet got their way at the Sungaï tribe's first Tribal Council where previously banished contestant Élodie Sadeler was voted out. However, the alliance was blindsided when the rest of their tribemates voted out Marie at the last Tribal Council before the merge. Before the merge, Javier was selected by Marylou Sidibé and Thierry Villette to be the Sungaï tribe's Ambassador opposite Anthony Dito. At the Ambassadors' Meeting, Anthony and Javier failed to convince one another to turn on one of their respective allies and, after the consequential rock draw, Anthony was eliminated from the game. Knowing that the original Sungaï tribe members had the majority needed to pagong the original Mawar tribe members, Javier insisted to his allies that they vote out Namadia Thaï Thaï, who did not win the first individual Immunity Challenge, at the merged tribe's first Tribal Council. Some of his female allies objected to this because they felt that the original Mawar tribe members losing Namadia right after losing Anthony would be hard for them to swallow. When they suggested Bernard Deniaud as the alliance's target instead, Javier remained stubborn about Namadia and insisted that the alliance play ruthlessly. Out of sorrow, Catherine Perez and Camille informed Namadia that he would be voted out that night. At Tribal Council, Namadia took advantage of this information and correctly played a Hidden Immunity Necklace on himself. Meanwhile, the original Mawar tribe members voted against Javier for his insincerity, resulting in him being "idoled out."

^1 At the Day 10 Reward Challenge, Javier came in last place, earning a penalty vote at his next Tribal Council. This vote did not carry through the revote.
^2 The vote ended with a 4-4 tie between Javier and Jérémy, forcing a revote. Javier changed his vote to Jérémy on the revote. He did not get enough votes on the revote to be eliminated.
