Jacqueline "Jacqui" Patterson is a contestant from Australian Survivor (2017) and Australian Survivor: All Stars.
Early on, Jacqui joined the majority alliance on Asaga, where she quickly forged a strong bond with Henry Nicholson, with whom she found an idol. Together, they took control of Asaga, taking out power couple Samantha Gash and Mark Wales. However, Henry's decision to switch tribes in order to gain more power backfired, as the several minority alliances on Asaga came together to take out his former allies. Although Jacqui attempted to get newly swapped Tara Pitt and Anneliese Wilson to vote with her, they eventually sided with Luke Toki, and she was eliminated in 17th place, blindsiding Henry at the next Immunity Challenge.
Jacqui faired far better in All Stars, forming an early alliance with Moana Hope, Mat Rogers, and Tarzan Herlaar. After a tribe swap sent Mat away, Jacqui's Mokuta tribe dominated the pre-merge portion of the game, entering the merge with numbers against the Vakama minority. However after an Exile Beach twist, her alliance turned on her, making Jacqui realize she was on the bottom. She then teamed up with the minority alliance, due in part to the social game of Shonee Bowtell, to blindside Zach Kozyrski. But after a deadlock tie against Moana Hope, Jacqui's new alliance sent her home in a verbal consensus, making her the fourth member of the jury in 8th place.

Age: 50 A self-confessed "straight shooter" and "bold and entertaining", Jacqui is one of the oldest contestants this year but she is not going to let that get in her way. "I feel I have something to prove. I want to demonstrate to women of any age, but particularly of my era, that life doesn't end at 30 – married with ankle biters, a housewife perm and stuffing your face with cupcakes," she said. A lover of life and the odd glass of champagne, Jacqui is a marriage celebrant on the NSW North Coast. Married with two kids, she is super-fit and does boot camp, running, biking and stair work daily to keep her in shape. She also likes to surf with her husband Gaz. Physically ready, there are a few things on the island that Jacqui is not looking forward to: "I'm not excited about sleeping outside and in the cold. That won't be much fun." Jacqui has been inspired by a few game players from last year's Australian Survivor. "I think I'll have a bit of Kylie's 'get out of my way' attitude, Craig's silly one liners and hopefully Lee's mental and physical strength. And, the final challenge between Kristie, El and Lee – what a cracker," she said. "I don't think I'm annoying but in saying that I do have a strong presence. Game strategy-wise, I would try to curtail this and go a little under the radar."[2]
52, Wedding Celebrant — Season 2 Jacqui wants to prove to the younger contestants that a 52-year-old can take on people half her age and make it to the end. "I'm here for shits and giggles and my second chance but really, I want people to know women over 50 have still got it and are just as, if not more capable than Gen Y." Coming back for All Stars, Jacqui has been listening to Survivor podcasts to remember people's moves. She has continued with her intense fitness training for body building, which she does professionally. But even with all the work she's putting in, Jacqui also knows her main priority is to "have some fun, do my best and create once in a lifetime, kick ass memories!" As a Wedding Celebrant, Jacqui lives in Northern NSW with her husband Gaz and recently married her Season 2 friends Mark Wales and Sam. Hoping to use all her new skills to get her to the top two, Jacqui wants to put the winning money towards paying off their block of land. But while she's there to have a good time, Jacqui does still have her eye on the prize and has learnt from past mistakes. "I'm going to be more aware of everyone around me and work more on my social game. I want to develop a good feel for the players and their game plays. I want to be an asset in challenges and around camp but not stick out like a sore thumb. And then walk away with half a million. Easy!"[3] |

2017[]
Jacqui found herself in a good early position in Asaga despite her age, proving to be a strong member of the tribe in challenges. She built a core alliance with Henry Nicholson, Samantha Gash, Mark Wales, and Kent Nelson. When faced with the first vote, the alliance wanted to vote out Joan Caballero but Samantha wanted to split it between Kent and Joan. Samantha's controlling attitude and her closeness with Mark was seen as a threat by Jacqui, so the alliance quickly fell apart and Jacqui and Henry planned Samantha's demise. Not only did she succeed, her ally Henry found the tribe's Hidden Immunity Idol.
However, in ousting Samantha and Mark, Jacqui and Henry became the new power couple (though their bond was more of a mother-son relationship). Additionally, Jacqui appeared to be more outspoken when in power, which did not sit well with Ben Morgan, Michelle Dougan, Jericho Malabonga, and Luke Toki. Jacqui's game appeared threatened when Henry offered to swap tribes on Day 21 with the idol in his possession. She hoped Asaga would remain strong, but Luke had already begun planning Jacqui's demise. Both Asaga alliances vied the votes of Anneliese Wilson and Tara Pitt when Jacqui shifted her target to Sarah Tilleke, considering her a floater who was playing both sides. However, Sarah joined Luke in voting out Jacqui.

Jacqui aligned herself with the more old-school players on the Vakama tribe, namely Mat Rogers, Moana Hope, Jericho Malabonga, and Tarzan Herlaar. Though her alliance was outnumbered, Mat was able to save Jacqui on Day 7 with an Hidden Immunity Idol play. Jacqui formed a particularly close bond with Tarzan, with the two being comically referred to as "the old married couple" because of their banter. Jacqui impressed her tribemates with the shape she came into the game with, and shocked everyone when she volunteered to compete against Zach Kozyrski on the Day 8 Reward Challenge. Aside from that, Jacqui had a quiet pre-switch. That would continue after the Tribe Switch as Jacqui remained with her closest allies Moana and Tarzan and they would form a larger alliance with David Genat, Sharn Coombes, Lee Carseldine, and Zach. Jacqui and Zach would later butt heads, particularly in the Immunity Challenge loss on Day 28 where Zach was critical of Jacqui's costly mistake. Though Jacqui considered voting out Zach over outsider Nick Iadanza, she sided with the majority.
Though Jacqui was targeted early in the merge by the minority Vakama alliance's attempts to change the power dynamics, she enjoyed the protection of the Mokuta seven. However, Lee left the game for personal reasons and a new twist unfolded that forced the Mokuta alliance to turn on each other. Following AK Knight, Brooke Jowett, and Moana's departure to Exile Beach, Jacqui, Sharn, Tarzan, David, and Zach struggled with which other two players should join the only remaining outsider Shonee Fairfax in Exile as the top three vote earners would be sent to Exile Beach as well. The alliance decided on Zach and Jacqui, supposedly because they would perform better in the return challenges than an apparently ailing David. While Zach embraced this role, Jacqui was not happy about it. Once Jacqui was sent to Exile, Shonee noticed Jacqui's frustration and told her that this was a clear sign she was on the bottom of her alliance. Jacqui took that message to heart, and after securing her own safety in the second return challenge, she turned on the Mokuta alliance by voting Zach out.
Though Jacqui told Sharn and Moana beforehand about her decision, Jacqui was effectively kicked out of the Mokuta alliance. This meant that the final eight consisted of two tight factions of four: Jacqui, Shonee, Brooke, and AK on one side and David, Moana, Sharn, and Tarzan on the other. On Day 40, the two factions seemed headed toward a rock draw tiebreaker. David's immunity win and idol play on Tarzan forced the Vakama trio of AK, Brooke, and Shonee to either flip on Jacqui or risk one of them or Sharn drawing the wrong rock (as Moana and Jacqui would be immune from the rock draw as they received votes). They obliged, sending Jacqui to the jury.
At Final Tribal Council, Jacqui voted for David to become the Sole Survivor.
