Jérôme was selected by Jean-Luc Duboscq to be a part of the Naga tribe. Emerging as Jean-Luc's second-in-command around camp, Jérôme remained in a comfortable position socially and was never targeted throughout the tribal phase of the game. Before the tribes merged, the Naga tribe selected Jérôme to be their Ambassador opposite Julie Navarro-Camilleri of the Sambor tribe. At the Ambassadors' Meeting, both Jérôme and Julie tried as much as possible to not compromise their respective tribes. At a point, Julie suggested that the pair eliminate Ludivine Wiart as doing so may be a fair compromise since she was originally a member of the Sambor tribe before switching to the Naga tribe, though Jérôme declined this proposition. Failing to come to an agreement, the pair drew rocks. Jérôme drew the black rock and was thus eliminated from the game.
