In the Trenches (also known as Trench Run) is a recurring Survivor challenge.
Rules[]
In one-on-one face offs, castaways will run through a trench to attempt to ring a bell on the opposite side, while their opponent attempts to stop them. The first person to ring their bell earns a point for their tribe. The first tribe to five wins. In Survivor South Africa, the opponents raced to pull on a rope to release a smoke signal flare.

In Return of the Outcasts, the tribes played for immunity, comfort items, and ingredients for braaibroodjie sandwiches. Masu whitewashed their rivals on Yontau, with Danté De Villiers narrowly beating Felix Godlo in the fifth round to achieve a clean sweep for his tribe.
United Kingdom[]
The challenge appeared as the fourth tribal Reward Challenge of Survivor U.K. (2023), where the tribes competed for a barbecue reward; the first tribe to score four points won. Caletón defeated La Nena handily, 4-1, to extend their winning streak.
