Ika is a tribe from Survivor 42. Their tribe color is blue.
Dysfunctional from the start, Ika struggled with tribe cohesion as a result of incompatible personalities and frequent over-scheming, causing each member to question their loyalties at every turn. However, Ika managed to unite in challenges to compensate for these internal fractures, allowing four of its members to make the merge. Following the merge, the lack of chemistry between its members prevented Ika from accruing the leverage necessary to effect any influence on the game.

Tribe History[]
Ika started the game on a strong note, winning flint during the opening Reward Challenge. Because the tribe did not have to compete in the "Savvy or Sweat" task, they immediately got to building their shelter, with Rocksroy Bailey's straightforward leadership emerging as an early source of camp drama. The tribe soon split up to form alliances; the younger members Swati Goel, Tori Meehan, and Zach Wurtenberger found commonalities in their shared fondness for Harry Potter. Zach aligned with Romeo Escobar as the "skinny guys" of the tribe to offer mutual protection. Drea Wheeler then reached out to Rocksroy, offering her advice to help him navigate the social dynamics of the tribe, from which he was alienating himself due to his apparent bossiness. Meanwhile, Tori began to draw suspicion to herself by leaving on an idol hunt; Drea would voice her concerns about this, and Zach relayed this back to Tori, further contributing to the atmosphere of distrust on the Ika beach.
Ika would go on to lose the first Immunity Challenge. Upon returning to camp, Zach put the blame on himself for botching the puzzle, making him a prime target. During a chaotic afternoon of scrambling, Drea and Tori made up while Romeo had to decide between saving Zach or campaigning for Tori. In the end, the tribe unified to vote Zach in a unanimous 5-0 vote.
The next day, Drea decided to form a women's alliance with Swati and Tori, revealing the Extra Vote she earned from the summit she had attended on Day 2. Almost immediately, Swati and Tori decided to align against Drea, seeing her possession of an advantage to be too threatening. These plans would go untested when Ika won the next two Immunity Challenges.
On Day 8, Swati consolidated her plan with Tori and decided that they needed to pull in Rocksroy to gain the numbers against Drea. In a conversation with Rocksroy, Tori divulged Drea's Extra Vote to convince him of her threat level. However, Rocksroy saw this as desperation and shot this down before relaying the information to Drea and Swati. A frustrated Swati decided that aligning with Tori was unviable due to Tori's transparent tendencies, while an alerted Drea lost trust in both Swati and Tori, the only two people with whom she had shared information about her advantage.
Ika would proceed to lose the next Reward and Immunity Challenges, heading to their second Tribal Council on Day 9. Sensing that she was once again on the outs, Tori scrambled by throwing Swati under the bus. Drea, Romeo, and Tori would compare notes to discover that Swati had committed to being each of their "number one" partners. At Tribal Council, Drea's awkward response to host Jeff Probst's questions about the "vibe" on Ika would betray the tribe's lack of cohesion. Ultimately, Drea, Romeo, and Tori decided to vote off Swati for her duplicity, thus blindsiding Rocksroy, who had forged an almost parental relationship with Swati.
Returning from Tribal Council, Ika attempted to do damage control to preserve Tori's trust, but the rift between her and Rocksroy was irreparable. Meanwhile, Drea and Romeo paired up to look for an idol; they emerged successful when Drea found the Beware Advantage, which she activated later at the Immunity Challenge. Setting aside their differences, Ika went on to win that challenge with a dominant first-place finish and got the option to send Rocksroy to the summit with Lydia Meredith of the losing tribe, Vati. Although Rocksroy decided to "protect" his vote and not receive any advantage, Tori needled him about his trip, pestering him to show her his advantage. Drea, Rocksroy, and Romeo agreed that that Tori would be the most likely to defect at a merge, hence deciding to rally against her.
Later that day, Ika entered the merge with Taku and Vati with four members apiece.
Merge[]
After the merge, Ika swiftly turned on each other. Though Drea and Rocksroy were secured by joining the majority alliance, Romeo and Tori were cast aside as outsiders. Rocksroy and Tori were taken out early into the merge, and Drea followed when she stood out as a big jury threat. Wedged firmly into the minority, Romeo survived but was perpetually unable to rally the numbers to cause any waves in the game, though he made it to the finals by winning the Final Immunity Challenge. However, Romeo's ineffectual gameplay caused him to finish as the second runner-up as he was unable to sway any jury votes.
