Trivia
- Huyopa is the first green merged tribe since Enil Edam, and the sixth overall.
- It is also the first 12-person tribe since Enil Edam, and the seventh overall.
- Huyopa is tied with Gitanos for the earliest Merge date, with both tribes merged on Day 16.
- Huyopa is the first merged tribe since Alinta to feature more than one LGBT member.
- Huyopa is the first Merged tribe in Survivor history to have its lowest placing member quit.
- Huyopa is the one of six Merged tribes to make their names from a combination of original tribe names: Chuay Jai, Chaboga Mogo, Xhakúm, Aitutonga, and Solarrion (of Survivor: Thailand, Survivor: All-Stars, Survivor: Guatemala, Survivor: Cook Islands and Survivor: Cagayan respectively) all followed a similar naming scheme.
- Huyopa is the first tribe in Survivor history to have a member voted off due to two Hidden Immunity Idols being played, being Wes Nale.
- Huyopa has the most number of castaways to be eliminated due to an idol being played, with two, and the most number of effective idol uses, with three.
- Huyopa is the first tribe to ever have six castaways of the same gender be voted off consecutively.
- If including Dale Wentworth voted off of Coyopa before the Merge, then 7 men were voted off consecutively, due to Julie McGee quitting.
- Huyopa's eliminations alternated between both original members of Hunahpu and then Coyopa, while it also had eliminated six consecutive post-Switch Hunahpu members then eliminated three consecutive post-Switch Coyopa members (the latter extending to five if we count the non-winning finalists).
- If one extends to the first tribe switch, it would also include Kelley and Dale Wentworth
