Houdini Magic is the seventh episode of Survivor: Samoa.

Challenge: Brain Food
The castaways would play a variation of Concentration with thirteen pairs of survival items plus four unpaired dummy items hidden under covers. One tribe member at a time would uncover two items. If the items matched, they would score one point for their tribe. However, the tribe leaders would have the option of forfeiting the point and taking the uncovered pair. The tribe with the most points at the end of the challenge would win.
Reward: A sailing trip aboard a three-masted barque and lunch, and the items exchanged for the points forfeited for either tribe.
Winner: Galu (chose to keep fire-making kit; sent Laura Morett to observe Foa Foa)

Challenge: Canoe Dueling
The tribes would paddle out into the ocean to retrieve six sets of fish-shaped puzzle pieces. Once back on the beach, three tribe members would have to assemble the puzzle pieces. The first tribe to assemble their puzzle would win.

	Mick	“	(voting against Liz) Man, I feel terrible about blindsiding you like this. This is strictly strategic and that's it. Uh, we have a soft alliance over at Galu and a lot of it hinges on, um, Natalie's play. So that's all this is about, and, I mean around camp, you've been amazing. In competitions, I mean, your performance is always, uh, top notch. So, please don't take this personally. This is strategy.	”

	Liz	“	(voting against Jaison) This is totally strategic and not at all personal. Sorry.	”

	Russell H.	“	(voting against Liz) You're the weakest link when it comes to trust. That's why I gotta get rid of you. If the merge happens, I know you'll flip-flop.	”

	Natalie	“	(voting against Liz) Liz, I'm voting for you because this was, uh, what the group decided. Played a great game.	”

Final Words

	Liz	“	This experience was, it was nothing but intense. My tribemates outwitted me. It was a very strategic move and the tables turned so quickly that, you know, it's a little bit surprising. But kudos to them. I really hope that they make it to the end and this is one hell of a game. So I'm glad I made it as far as I did.	”
