Castaways will race to move a puzzle tile through a series of slide puzzles. Once they have moved the puzzle tile through all of their puzzles, they will use that tile to complete a final slide puzzle.
In Survivor South Africa, this challenge was modified for tribal use; instead of one castaway solving all the puzzles, one tribe member will be responsible for one puzzle each.
History[]
The challenge debuted in Survivor: Worlds Apart as the second individual Immunity Challenge where, infamously, Dan Foley repeatedly called Jeff Probst to check on his slide puzzle despite being incorrect each time. In the end, Joe Anglim pulled off his second individual immunity win.
In Survivor South Africa: Island of Secrets, the challenge appeared as a tribal Immunity Challenge in combination with Smash and Grab. Sa'ula fell behind early on in retrieving their puzzle pieces, and Nathan Castle was determined to throw the challenge. However, after Meryl Szolkeiwicz won the challenge for Ta'alo, Laumei was hamstrung by a combination of arrogance and frustration on behalf of Jacques Burger, who was unable to solve the final slide puzzle despite his professed keenness for them. After 2 hours in the pouring rain, Nathan quit on his attempt to throw the challenge and allowed his tribe to clinch the second-place finish to win immunity, sending a defeated Laumei to Tribal Council.
