Henry Nicholson is a contestant from Australian Survivor (2017) and Australian Survivor: All Stars.
Throughout 2017, Henry was generally well liked and respected by his peers due to his charm and charisma. As the game progressed, Henry played an incredibly aggressive game making numerous high risk plays, including voluntarily switching tribes, giving future winner Jericho Malabonga a useless idol clue and frequently blindsiding allies like Samantha Gash. Eventually his aggressive gameplay highlighted his threat level and he was blindsided with an idol in his possession.
Returning for All Stars, Henry's aggressive gameplay was far less well received on his second time. After finding a Hidden Immunity Idol, which he later gifted to opposing tribemate Mat Rogers, almost all of Henry's attempts at shifting the game were remitted. After losing ally Michelle Dougan, Henry seemingly gained a footing by appealing to the majority by targeting weak-link Shonee Fairfax. However, after the votes were split between the two of them at Tribal Council, Shonee played her idol, cancelling the votes against her and sending Henry home.

Age: 26 Looks can be deceiving, at least, Adelaide's Henry is hoping that is the case. His plan is to walk onto the island as a laid-back hippie yoga instructor and use that to his advantage. What he will not tell the others is that he has only been practicing yoga for a month. "I won't be telling my competitors that I have a Degree in Marketing and Accounting. I hope they believe I am a yoga instructor the whole way through. I am learning some yoga because I do not want to be saying I can do it and within 30 minutes, someone realises that I am terrible and that it is all an act. I like to bend rules to within breaking, but I won't break them. I cheekily get away with things in real life so I hope that will happen out there," he said. "I want to make moves that everyone will wonder, 'What just happened?'. It is a game, so I will treat it as such. I will do anything within the rules to win, including flirting or lying. I want to align with the weak and get the strong threats out early. I will use my charm and flirtatious nature to get ahead." Henry is a labourer and he also owns an online food delivery business, which his late mother helped him establish. He put everything on hold as she battled pancreatic cancer and she recently passed away. "I applied when Mum was healthy and the whole reason I did it was because it's been my dream for such a long time. I put my life on hold when she was sick and she always said to chase your dreams. It is a token of my appreciation for everything she did for me to be here. She told me it's time for me to chase my dreams." A big fan of the Survivor series, Henry even looked into getting an American green card to apply for the show in the US. A real player, Henry plans to plant fake idols, give clues to the opposition and do his best to mess with their heads. It is not all lying and manipulation. In real life, Henry volunteers regularly both locally and on international trips. However, he will not let anyone else know that.[1]
28, Teacher — Season 2 Henry returns to Australian Survivor: All Stars as a stronger and probably more honest player. "I don't think I'm going to be able to fly under the radar after everything I did in Season 2. Last time, I acted as a fake Yoga teacher. I threw challenges. I gave clues to my opposition. Trying to be something I'm not isn't going to work this time. "I'll be doing some fun tricks but I have to be smart about it. It'll be Zen Hen 2.0 – bigger, better and stronger." Knowing that he'll have a target on his back, Henry wants to see other players on the island who will take some of the heat off him and find people he can build an alliance with. He says, "David has that creative mind I like. If I had never played, he would be someone I'd want to play like. I think we are quite similar." Henry has also gone down in Australian Survivor history as the first person to leave the competition with an Idol in his pocket. And as a superfan of the series, Henry is still excited for the little things – "I'm a superfan, remember? I can't wait to see what the new buff is going to be!"[2] |

2017[]
Henry came into this game wanting to lie about being a yoga instructor so that he can get people to trust him more easily. This helped him establish a strong position early in the game. Henry was a part of the coalition that viewed Samantha Gash and Mark Wales as a power couple and helped split them up. In their demise rose another power duo in Henry and Jacqui Patterson, which Luke Toki quickly identified and attempted to split up. Henry started to feel in control of the game, which made his next decision that much more surprising: volunteering to switch tribes.
Henry's risk appeared to not pay off initially, as his absence on Asaga meant his allies Jacqui and Kent Nelson would be the next players voted out on that tribe. On Samatau, Henry managed to work his way into an alliance with fellow physical threat Locky Gilbert, and Henry survived his only Tribal Council visit when original Samatau targeted Ben Morgan instead.
Initially, Henry was in the majority alliance post-merge as AK Knight's remaining allies were targeted. However, Henry, Locky, and Ziggy Zagame began to be viewed as a physically strong power trio. Michelle Dougan, Tessa O'Halloran, and Luke talked about Henry and his Hidden Immunity Idol (which he found earlier in the game, hiding his tracks by giving Jericho Malabonga the clue after the fact) at the champagne reward. Henry was confident even with Tessa winning immunity on Day 38 that his alliance had the numbers to take out Peter Conte. However, the outsiders, Champagne Alliance, and their affiliates rallied together and blindsided Henry with an idol in his pocket by a 6-4 vote.
At Final Tribal Council, Henry was more impressed by Jericho's gameplay and voted for him to win.

All Stars[]
Henry wasted no time playing hard, finding a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol in the opening Reward Challenge. He told Mat Rogers about it, and as it turns out it would not only was it hidden at Tribal Council, it would expire after the first three Tribal Councils. While the majority of Mokuta wanted former winner Shane Gould out immediately, Henry felt that it was the easy vote which did not satisfy him. Shane targeted Harry Hills due to his reputation as a schemer, and Henry joined that plan and went to work gathering the numbers. He hoped his ally and friend Nick Iadanza would support him, but Nick cautioned Henry about making waves this early in the game. Henry's plan failed as Harry only received three votes, and though he found the idol at Tribal Council, he now had a target on his back.
Henry contributed to Mokuta's two-win Immunity Challenge streak, and while his challenge prowess appealed to the athletic alliance led by Abbey Holmes, his scheming raised suspicions from the "Little Rascals" alliance of Shonee Fairfax, Harry, and Nick. His relationship with Nick became particularly strained and Nick began to target Henry. Henry's target grew after Mat revealed he used an idol at Tribal Council that was given to him by Henry (their exchange in which the idol was transferred also having been viewed). When Mokuta lost again on Day 9, Henry was targeted once again and rather than try to ingratiate with a majority, he pushed for Sharn Coombes to leave. Once again, his plan gained little traction and Henry received votes due to the majority performing a split vote between Michelle Dougan and himself. With no allies left, the only thing going for him was Abbey's preference to keep the tribe strong. This meant she would target Shonee next before Henry. However, since Shonee was protected by the Little Rascals, they managed to convince some others that Henry was more dangerous to the cohesiveness of the tribe. Henry created a fake idol to deter votes away from him and showed it off at Tribal Council on Day 12. Nick attempted to convince the tribe Henry's idol was fake. That would be confirmed after Shonee played the real one, which sealed Henry's fate in a 5-0 vote.
