Hali Ford is a contestant from Survivor: Worlds Apart and Survivor: Game Changers.

She is remembered for her time in Worlds Apart for her likeability and endearing personality quirks, including her enthusiasm for American symbols and the U.S. Constitution. She was a core member of the Nagarote Alliance that was ultimately outmaneuvered by the Escameca Alliance after the merge, resulting in her elimination.

Returning in Game Changers, Hali vowed to change her game entirely to advance her further. However, due to poor luck and inability to get into the original Nuku stronghold, Hali became the underdog at the start of the merge. While she was initially the secondary target at the start of the merge, Cirie Fields and Zeke Smith turned the majority of the castaways against her. Ultimately, she became the first member of the jury yet again.

Name (Age): Hali Ford (25)
Tribe Designation: No Collar
Current Residence: San Francisco, CA
Occupation: Law Student
Personal Claim to Fame: Catching a huuuge wave last winter in Kauai.
Inspiration in Life: Clara S. Foltz- First female lawyer on the west coast and inventor of public defense. I admire her trail-blazing approach to law and life. My law school, UC Hastings, refused to admit her based on sex, so she sued them and graduated at the top of her class (while raising five children).
Hobbies: Surfing, jiu jitsu, motorcycles and whatever comes my way.
What is your favorite sport? Jiu-jitsu and surfing.
Pet Peeves: Not maximizing time and resources.
3 Words to Describe You: Tenacious, free and focused.
If You Could Have 3 Things on The Island What Would They Be and Why? 1. Law school bar review book - so I can stay sharp, plus it doubles as a journal 2. A pen and journal - to map out strategy 3. Ukulele - because it lifts the spirits and could become useful in other, non-musical ways
SURVIVOR Contestant You Are Most Like: Parvati Shallow because she is fun and vivacious, but more than meets the eye, always planning, calculating risks both strategic and social. She is physically strong and undaunted by rejection and resistance. We also have matching tats.
Reason for Being on SURVIVOR: The game itself. It is the ultimate personal challenge and something to tell the grandkids.
Why You'll "Survive" SURVIVOR: I'm inimitably resourceful. Last summer, I caught a fish in a plastic grocery bag while camping and cleaned and cooked the fish for friends. I'm upbeat and fun, so surviving socially will be no sweat. I also perform well under pressure.
Why Will You Be the Sole Survivor: I grab everything I do by the horns and don't let go until I get what I want. Survivor will be no different.[1]

Age: 26
Hometown: San Francisco, CA
Previously played on: Season 30: White, Blue, No Collar, Finished 11th & Jury Member
How have you changed since the last time you played? I’m back with a honed sense of self, a new passion for Survivor, and a vendetta from my wasted last game.
What skills do you bring to Survivor that will make you a useful member of the group and what skills have you been learning since you last played? I easily make strong social connections with many personality types, I'm resourceful and handy when it comes to living off the land, and I'm decently smart. I'd say the most valuable skill I've learned since my last game is how to play Survivor. I've also become a bonafide criminal-defense attorney, which involves battling cop shenanigans on the daily, which I expect may be a thing in this game.
What are you most proud of from the last time? NOTHING. Honestly, I would not put my name on anything I did in the last game.
What, if anything, do you most regret? EVERYTHING. But if I must name only one regret, it has to be failing to switch strategies immediately at the merge.
How will you play differently this time? My head and heart were everywhere but in the game last time. This time, I'm going balls-to-the-wall. If it's a crime to play Survivor with abandon, take me to jail after the final Tribal Council. We've got some heavyweights in this game and I'm ready to claim their titles.[2]

Worlds Apart

Hali was initially placed on the "No Collar" Nagarote tribe, wherein she quickly formed a bond with Jenn Brown. Her tribe won the first Immunity Challenge but lost the following one on Day 6. The two formed an alliance with Joe Anglim and decided to target Nina Poersch for complaining that she was deaf all the time when she did not need to. At Tribal Council, the votes were split between Jenn and Vince Sly. However, Will Sims II flipped to Hali's alliance and voted against Vince, and he was blindsided in a 3–2–1 vote, shocking everyone. After losing immunity on Day 8, while Hali and Nina voted against Will to split the vote, the rest of her tribemates eliminated Nina. Nagarote won immunity on Day 11, keeping them safe from Tribal Council.

On Day 12, a tribe switch occurred and Hali remained on Nagarote, along with Jenn and Will. However, they lost their leader, Joe, and gained White Collars Carolyn Rivera, Max Dawson, and Shirin Oskooi from Masaya and lone Blue Collar Kelly Remington from Escameca. The new Nagarote tribe was getting annoyed with Shirin and Max because they were always strategizing. After Nagarote lost the Immunity Challenge on Day 14, they debated which one of Shirin and Max to eliminate. They eventually decided to eliminate Max after Carolyn willingly betrayed her fellow White Collars. They won immunity on Day 16 after the Blue Collars on Escameca threw the challenge to save Kelly.

On Day 17, the tribes merged into the Merica tribe. Hali and Jenn were excited to reunite with Joe, and Shirin eventually joined their alliance. Joe won the first individual Immunity Challenge on Day 19. Before Tribal Council, Jenn told Hali that she had a Hidden Immunity Idol. At Tribal Council, Jenn played her idol, negating the seven votes cast against her, and blindsiding Kelly in a 4–1–0 vote, which made Hali, Joe, and Shirin happy as well. However, this happiness was merely temporary as the alliance was still down in numbers. On Day 22, Hali was targeted by the Escameca Alliance because Joe won immunity again. They tried to get Sierra Dawn Thomas on their side and targeted Dan Foley because of his misogynistic comments. Sierra was willing to flip if they could secure Tyler Fredrickson's vote to reach the majority of six. However, at Tribal Council, Sierra and Tyler stuck with their alliance and Hali was blindsided in a 7–4 vote, which shocked her and her alliance, making Hali the first member of the jury.

At the Final Tribal Council, Hali asked Carolyn how her role as a mother disadvantaged her in the game, and Carolyn explained that she fought hard despite being much older than most of the other castaways. At the end, Hali voted for Mike Holloway, who won by a 6–1–1 jury vote.

Game Changers

Hali was initially placed on the Mana tribe. After Mana lost the first Immunity Challenge, Hali joined the majority in voting out Ciera Eastin. Mana again lost the subsequent Immunity challenge and Hali aligned with Troyzan Robertson, Michaela Bradshaw, Jeff Varner, and Sandra Diaz-Twine who plotted to get Tony Vlachos out for causing paranoia around camp. At Tribal Council, Tony was voted out after even his own allies Aubry Bracco, Caleb Reynolds, and Malcolm Freberg turned on him.

Both Hali and Caleb remained on Mana after the Tribe Switch on Day 7 and were joined by original Nuku members Brad Culpepper, Debbie Wanner, Tai Trang, and her fellow Worlds Apart castmate Sierra Dawn Thomas. Both Hali and Caleb appeared to be on the outs. When Mana lost immunity on Day 9, Hali was spared when the majority voted out Caleb. With Caleb gone, Hali was the target. On Day 11, Tavua won immunity, and the losing tribes, Mana and Nuku, had to go to a Joint Tribal Council and vote out one member instead of two. At Tribal Council, Hali plotted with her original Mana tribemates on now on Nuku, Aubry, Jeff, Malcolm, Michaela, and Sandra, about blindsiding Brad. However, she ended up sticking with her group when it came down to it, and Malcolm was blindsided after Tai played a Hidden Immunity Idol on Sierra. She, along with Brad and Sierra, remained on Mana after the second tribe switch and were joined by Aubry, Michaela, Troyzan, and Cirie Fields. Hali and Michaela appeared to be on the outs, but were saved as Mana won the next two Immunity Challenges.

The tribes merged into the Maku Maku tribe on Day 19. Hali and Michaela became the targets for being outsiders as the two major alliances, the Power Six and the Tavua Alliance, banded together. While Hali was originally the secondary target, Cirie and Zeke Smith managed to turn the vote on her to save Michaela, who they felt they could work with more. At Tribal Council, Hali was blindsided. She finished in 13th place, and became the first member of the jury again.

At the Final Tribal Council, Hali questioned Brad for insinuating that he had used condescension as a strategy. She voted for Sarah Lacina to win, which she did in a 7–3–0 vote over Brad and Troyzan.
