Got to Choose is a recurring challenge that debuted in Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X and was used internationally in Survivor South Africa: Philippines.

Rules

The castaways must race through obstacles to reach a puzzle table. However, along the way the tribes are given the choice to take shortcuts to get to the finish faster. The more shortcuts a tribe takes, the more puzzle pieces that they will have to negotiate for their final puzzle. The first tribe to get through their obstacles and solve the puzzle wins.

History

The challenge was first used in Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X as the first Immunity Challenge of the season. Despite Rachel Ako struggling to break a mask to take a shortcut, Takali took the early lead over Vanua. However, their lead vanished when Rachel and David Wright had trouble solving the puzzle with the extra puzzle pieces added by the shortcuts they used, which allowed Vanua to come from behind and win.

The challenge appeared in Survivor South Africa: Philippines as the third Immunity Challenge. Mindanao entered the challenge attempting to throw it, and took one shortcut while Luzon took none. Despite a slow start to the puzzle, Luzon ultimately won the challenge, granting Mindanao's wish and sending them to their first Tribal Council.
