Girls Gone Wilder is the seventh episode of Survivor: The Amazon.
Story[]
“ | Certain women use their bodies in an attempt to gain food...and favor. | ” |
—Episode Synopsis[2] |
Night 18[]
Jaburu returns from Tribal Council after voting out Shawna, with Alex being especially sad about Shawna's departure from the game. Rob comments in confessional that while he misses her, it's also a good thing because now he can ensure that Alex plays the game with a clear mind. He also states that while he doesn't like discussing strategy out in the open with everyone, he does want them to be on board with voting out a member of Tambaqui at the next Tribal Council should the merge take place. The plan in motion is to bring Heidi back into the Jaburu Alliance and take out Dave, due to him being an individual threat in challenges moving forward.
Day 19[]
Both tribes open the mysterious boxes they received on Day 1 with a key they received at Tree Mail in the morning. Inside was a scroll of parchment paper, informing the two tribes that they are about to merge, as well as a map to a small island on the river. They then meet with host Jeff Probst, who tells them to drop their old yellow and blue buffs and receive new red buffs and a map to their new camp location. Though some are bummed they will have to construct a new shelter, the merged tribe are ecstatic to have made it this far into the game.
Dave |
“ | The surge of 'We've been battling one another and-and-and trying not to be eliminated and trying to get to this point of the game and we-we've succeeded', it's fantastic. We're here right now, it's done. | ” |
The merged tribe makes it to their new camp where a large feast consisting of burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and beer, among other food and drinks, was already there for them to enjoy. As the final ten continue to eat and mingle, Alex and Deena come up with the new name for the merged tribe: Jacaré, the Portuguese word for "alligator".
Alex speaks in confessional about how Roger's bossy personality is getting on his nerves, while Rob talks about how Deena and Roger are butting heads while they determine where to place the shelter. Deena then talks about Roger's assigning of the women to split the palm fronds for the shelter, and how the men are the only ones building the shelter. Christy also shares her displeasure with Roger in a confessional.
Christy |
“ | I'm not working on the shelter because it's a (air quotes) "man thing to do" or not strong or if you don't have the mathematical setframe plan like they have it which really pisses me off because I really would like to be a part of it. I mean, if I'm out here for pulling palm fronds and logs and you're really trying to be a team, I want to be able to put a log on there and measure it and say, "Hey!" and feel like I made the bed as well but they did. But I'm cool, you know, if I can get the palm fronds done and have a little shelter before the rain comes, okay, I'll be happy. | ” |
Meanwhile, Heidi and Jenna approach Deena about voting Roger out next instead of Dave, on the basis that Roger would not vote for one of them to win if they let him get on the jury.
Deena |
“ | My initial thing was, let's get rid of Dave. He clearly is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, out here. Jenna and Heidi had a good point. Got to give them their due. They said, 'Listen, if we were to allow Roger to be on the jury, he would never ever vote for a female. Simply because we have breasts and estrogen, we must be somehow so far inferior to that of a man.' They're right. Screw him. | ” |
Afterwards, Alex informs Matthew that the plan has changed, and the Jaburu Alliance will be voting Roger out before Dave. At night, while Roger is fast asleep, the rest of the tribe exchange raunchy stories. Heidi and Jenna in particular talk about having threesomes, which Rob admits makes him want to rethink his strategy so that he can be in the final three with the two of them.
Day 21[]
The sun rises as various shots of empty beer cans and the tribe sleeping are shown. The hungover tribe is woken up by the sound of Roger splitting firewood. Deena solidifies her final three alliance with Jenna and Rob. She boasts in confessional that she is in control of the game, then talks about how some of the men (namely Dave and Butch) will be shaking in their boots once Roger is voted out.
During the Immunity Challenge, Heidi and Jenna are so desperate for peanut butter and chocolate that they tell host Jeff Probst that they will strip naked if he can produce some. Jeff brings out a plate of peanut butter and Oreos, so Heidi and Jenna strip naked before jumping in the water and eating their reward. After 2.5 hours, everybody but Christy and Deena has given up. When Jeff brings out a plate of spaghetti and meatballs, Christy and Deena decide to split the food and play a game of rock, paper, scissors to decide who wins the challenge. Deena wins the game, so Christy jumps in the water, giving Deena immunity.
Rob |
“ | I said that the only way Roger is gonna win immunity is if it's a contest to name that Perry Como song or perhaps, uh, 'What type of prune is this?' Or some sort of other thing that only an older man like Roger would be able to determine. | ” |
Alex |
“ | I'm actually excited. The game worked out better than expected. We had the best time out there. Naked chicks… yeah! Pizza… yeah! Roger was too big to jump off and get himself nothing… yeah! (laughs) He has no idea that he's going home tonight. Um, there's people dancing in the Amazon. (laughs) | ” |
Roger |
“ | The women are gone and it-it's that simple. And it looks as though it-it's… everything is falling into place exactly like we planned it. Uh, I know when I'm sitting here saying, 'It's too good to be true.' (chuckles) | ” |
Roger believes that all of the men of the Tambaqui Alliance are on board with voting out the women, but Alex, Matthew, and Rob have aligned with Deena, Heidi, and Jenna. They also pull in Christy to vote Roger out 7-3.
Challenges[]
Immunity Challenge: Perch
The castaways must stand on a perch as long as they can, while certain food items are offered to tempt them to bail out. Furthermore, they cannot touch the perch's structure. The last person left standing wins.
Winner: Deena Bennett

Voting Confessionals[]
Roger and Deena's confessionals, as well as an edited version of Rob's confessional, were shown in the episode.[3]
Jenna |
“ | (voting against Roger) It's a strategic move right now, and I'm not down with your attitude towards women. | ” |
Roger |
“ | (voting against Christy) Christy, I wished today you had hung in there. You would've stayed there, and you definitely would not have received my vote. You've contributed greatly to the tribe. | ” |
Matthew |
“ | (voting against Roger) We've gotten along quite well and I think he's a great guy. But he painted a target on my back at Tambaqui and it's payback time. | ” |
Deena |
“ | (voting against Roger) Reality check and mate. Never underestimate the power of a woman. | ” |
Alex |
“ | (voting against Roger) Roger, you get my vote tonight because you're a jerk, and I just don't want you out here anymore. I could go on all night, but I don't have to because you're gone. | ” |
Butch |
“ | (voting against Christy) You're a great girl. This vote is only for strategy and past alliances. | ” |
Dave |
“ | (voting against Christy) This is a strategic vote. I think you've done a lot of remarkable things so far in this game. You've accomplished all your goals. Also, from one experienced rock-paper-scissors player to another, you never go scissors because it always bites you in the ass. | ” |
Heidi |
“ | (voting against Roger) I'm voting for you tonight because I think you're very against the women. It's definitely a strategic move. We've got to start getting rid of people who think they're in charge. And that's pretty much it. | ” |
Rob |
“ | (voting against Roger) [impersonating Casey Kasem] Here comes tonight's long distance dedication. It goes out to Rob from New York. He writes, Dear Casey, there's a mean old man in my life that's about to leave. Could you please play something appropriate for me? Well, Rob, here's your request, and please remember to remind your friend: keep your head in the sky and next time, keep your feet on the platform. Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye. | ” |
Final Words[]
Roger |
“ | I am a very strong individual, and I am a leader, and I can't hold that back. I said from the beginning, "I'm my worst enemy in this game because I am very strong willed." I'll never see these people again in my life, and I don't think I got outwitted or outplayed. Definitely got outlasted. | ” |
