Gabrielle Richens is a contestant from Celebrity Survivor Australia.
The only woman on the original Kakula tribe, Gabrielle initially decided to stick with her tribemates, and eliminate any newcomers. However, after a surprising tribe swap, Gabrielle flipped over the new girls and blindsided Wayne Gardner. At the merge, Gabrielle positioned herself in the majority, but after David Oldfield won immunity, the girls were forced to turn on each other, and the former Moso members stuck together in voting off Gabrielle.

"My idea of roughing it is a two-star hotel," laughs Gabrielle Richens.
"I'm so spoilt, I'm such a princess. But at the same time, I know it – I don't take myself seriously. I know competing on Celebrity Survivor is going to be hard. But however long I'm in there for, it's a certain amount of days or weeks and then I go back to my real life – a suitcase full of toiletries and my nice place in LA. It's an experience that not everybody gets the opportunity to take up and I think we're all going to come off the island with something that's changed about us."
Dubbed "The Pleasure Machine" after appearing in an advertisement for a British airline, Gabrielle is a model, TV presenter and actress who divides her time between Australia, the UK and US.
She has modelled on the catwalks of London, Paris, Milan and New York and is now the face of a best selling lingerie line, Gorgeous. She has also presented TV shows such as the Channel 10 series Love Rules, the UK game show The Desert Forges and a Bravo documentary series.
More recently, Gabrielle, 31, moved into acting, making her Hollywood debut in a black comedy horror flick called Hack and had a guest role on the international hit series CSI.
"I thought Celebrity Survivor would actually be fun because it's so far removed from living in Hollywood," she says. "I'll miss my mum a lot though. I speak to her practically every day of my life. Not talking to her is going to be far more difficult than living without my toiletries!" Gabrielle also admits she's not playing to win.
"I don't have a competitive bone in my body," she laughs. "I'm definitely not going to be seen as a threat. I think people on my team are going to look at me and realise I'm not capable of winning. But you never know. You just don't know how you're going to behave in an environment that you've never been in before."
"I've never camped! I'm an anti-camper. I once did a photo shoot on Fraser Island and there's a lot of camping there. I just remember staying at a five star resort, going out to shoot on location and being like 'what are they all doing camping? I mean, what kind of vacation is that?!'"
Gabrielle's chosen charity is The Wayside Chaple Foundation.
Celebrity Survivor Australia[]
Gabrielle was one of two castaways to enter the game later on Day 1 on the opposite-gendered tribe; as such, she found herself on Kakula. As the only girl, she feared she would be perceived as a weak link, a fear worsened by the lack of bonds she made with the rest of the tribe, in particular with Wayne Gardner whom she frequently clahsed with. Despite her physical inferiority and lack of bonds with the rest of the tribe, Gabrielle managed to survive the first few days on Kakula, mainly thanks to Guy Leech's campaign to remove new member and large threat Ben Wynn from the game. Gabrielle feared that she would be voted out the next time the tribe lost an Immunity Challenge, however she was saved by a timely Tribe Switch.
Gabrielle and Justin Melvey were in charge of picking the new tribes, and Gabrielle did well ensuring that the new Kakula was just as strong as the old one, keeping allies Guy and Wayne and ensuring their majority. However, Gabrielle's feud with Wayne combined with a lack of effort from the boys to keep her in the alliance led to a consideration of flipping. This was further encouraged by new members Imogen Bailey and Nicolle Dickson, who ensured Gabrielle they would remain girls strong at the merge. This culminated in Gabrielle flipping on her alliance on Day 11 after Kakula lost the Immunity Challenge, blindsiding Wayne and shocking Guy in the process.
Gabrielle entered the merge with the numbers from her new alliance, Moso member Justin returning to the alliance now that the tribes were joined. Gabrielle understood that she was essentially the swing vote, and she was even invited on a Day 12 reward by Guy in an attempt to get her to return to the Kakula alliance, however she had already made up her mind, joining her new group to vote out Guy on Day 13. After winning a Reward Challenge with Imogen and David Oldfield on Day 14, Gabrielle and the alliance then proceeded to vote out Elton Flatley on Day 15, David being spared by his immunity streak and distancing from the Kakula group.
Day 17 saw the first time David lost individual immunity, however the four person alliance began to show cracks after Nicolle revealed to Imogen that Justin approached her offering money for her to remain in the game. Despite her closeness with Justin, Gabrielle was convinced by Imogen and Nicolle at tribal council that she was being dragged along by Justin, and so she turned on her ally leaving the three girls as the last members of the alliance. This move proved to be misguided, however, as David ended up winning his third individual immunity on Day 19, forcing the girls to turn on each other. Imogen and Nicolle's close bond showed to be Gabrielle's downfall, and she was voted out in a 3-1 vote.
Gabrielle had a chance to re-enter the game on Day 20, however she lost the challenge to Guy and Justin, officially becoming the second member of the jury. A deadlock tiebreaker between Justin and Nicolle on Day 23 could not be resolved by past votes, so it was up to the jury to decide who left the game. Angered by Nicolle's ousting of the jury and lacklustre gameplay, and also in support of Guy, the jury unanimously chose to vote out Nicolle 3-0. On Day 25, Gabrielle targeted Justin at Final Tribal Council, criticising him for keeping the money controversy a secret from her despite their close relationship outside of the game. She was dissatisfied with Justin's answer and ultimately voted for Guy to win the game, in which he did in a 3-2 vote.
