During the marooning, Kaouther Ferdjani developed a close bond with Freddy as he helped her through her seasickness. For the group section of the opening sudden death challenge, Freddy was partnered with Christina Chevry, Myriam Desvergne, Anthony Parra, Kader Rebaï, and Claire Rolet. After the group transitioned into the individual section of this challenge, Freddy was the fifth or sixth man to arrive at the finish line with his staff and was safe. Additionally, Freddy and Marine Mocellin were selected, respectively, by Kaouther and Louis-Laurent Léger, who were the first of their respective genders to arrive at the finish line with their staves, to join them for a reward, which was an overnight stay with a fisherman to learn basic survival techniques. Before the tribe composition the next day, Denis Brogniart revealed to the contestants that Myriam, who had been temporarily evacuated from the game two days before after having injured her ankle during the sudden death challenge, had been permanently evacuated and eliminated from the game the day before as it was determined that she had fractured her ankle. He added that, because of this, Anthony would reenter the game in her place. Freddy was assigned by Marine to be a member of the Koror tribe and they immediately competed in the first Immunity Challenge. Though the Koror tribe had maintained a strong lead throughout the challenge, the Mawaï tribe succeeded in catching up near the end and winning the challenge. Upon returning to camp, Patrick Merle strategized with the men that they needed to vote against one of the women, particularly either Christina or Raphaële Navarro, as he felt that doing so would keep the tribe strong. Since the tribe had an equal number of men and women, Patrick tried to convince Marine to vote with the men. However, this backfired as Marine realized that joining him would put her at the bottom of a men's alliance and, in turn, made plans with the women to vote against Julien Mairesse. At Tribal Council, the men voted against Raphaële while the women voted against Julien. This resulted in a tied vote and the contestants had to revote. Since nobody changed their vote on the revote, Julien and Raphaële had to draw rocks. Julien drew the black rock and was eliminated, leaving the men in the minority.
Over the next few cycles, Freddy maintained his affinity with the other men of his tribe and was praised by his tribemates for his challenge strength, work ethic, and smart survival ideas, but he was also criticized by his tribemates, especially the women, for being stubborn and bossy in his approach. In spite of their low start, the Koror tribe bounced back and won six consecutive challenges, including two Immunity Challenges and a Reward Challenge in which the reward was fire. Having fire allowed the Koror tribe to improve upon their diet. The sixth of these challenges was the fourth Reward Challenge which began on Day 10 and consisted of going on a trek to retrieve as many bags as possible, which would be returned to the starting line on Day 11. During the night of this challenge, Alexandre Amico and Isabelle Da Silva fought with each other as the former felt that the latter was being lazy and the latter did not care for how the former was talking to her. Marine, tired and cold, had a tetanic seizure and she was temporarily evacuated from the game. The next day, the two tribes returned forty bags each to Denis Brogniart, who stated that both tribes have won the challenge as a result. The reward for this challenge was the right to permanently kidnap one of the members of the opposite tribe as part of a tribe switch. The Mawaï tribe chose Freddy and the Koror tribe chose Louis-Laurent. Kaouther was delighted with her tribe's decision to kidnap Freddy due to their affinity with one another formed at the beginning of the game. Freddy bonded well with his new tribemates, especially Kaouther, but he lost respect from his former Koror tribemates when he declared that he was a proud Mawaï tribe member at the fourth Immunity Challenge the next day. The Mawaï tribe went on to win the fourth Immunity Challenge, which finally broke the Koror tribe's winning streak and also earned Freddy even more love from his new tribemates. The next cycle, Kaouther was temporarily evacuated from the game sometime after the fifth Reward Challenge since she was feeling pain due to a cracked tooth. Meanwhile, the Mawaï tribe had resumed their old habit of losing both the Reward Challenge and the Immunity Challenge due to poor strategy. Returning to the game only just after the Mawaï tribe had lost the fifth Immunity Challenge, Kaouther became immune from receiving any votes at the corresponding Tribal Council as she did not have an opportunity to participate in this challenge. It was implied that Kaouther would have been targeted by Rodolphe Assi, Fabienne Lefebvre-Trehoux, and Pascal Nickert at Tribal Council for her challenge liability due to a foot injury that she had sustained during the fourth Reward Challenge and for her newfound inactivity around camp. However, since she was immune from receiving any votes, the trio made plans to target Kader instead for his inactivity around camp and recruited Freddy to vote with them. At Tribal Council, after a heated exchange with Fabienne, Kaouther decided to quit the game due to her foot injury, due to her tribe's constant strategic failure in challenges, and due to her feeling that the tribe's priorities are not right. When Denis Brogniart asked her tribemates if they felt that Kaouther would regret her decision to quit, all but Kader responded that they believed that she would. Immediately after this, Kader was voted out unanimously by the rest of his tribemates as they had planned.
Before the tribes merged, Isabelle and Fabienne were selected as the Ambassadors for their respective tribes. Like in the previous season, the Ambassadors had to eliminate someone instead of simply casting a vote against someone. With Fabienne refusing to agree upon eliminating Freddy or any of her fellow original Mawaï tribemates and Isabelle initially taking a similar stance concerning her own allies, it seemed that Isabelle and Fabienne would be having to face a rock draw in order to decide who amongst themselves would be eliminated instead. However, Isabelle decided to offer Alexandre's name just before the Ambassadors were to draw rocks, feeling that he did not deserve to stay in the game as much as everybody else and that he was not worth potentially being eliminated over. Fabienne agreed to this and Alexandre was eliminated from the game. After Isabelle and Fabienne returned to camp and broke the news, the majority of the other contestants commented to each other that they felt that Isabelle was selfish and had failed to live up to her duty as an Ambassador, with only Patrick openly stating that he understood her decision and likely would have done something similar in her place. Nobody was eliminated at the merged tribe's first Tribal Council, but the next cycle, Alexandre rejoined the merged tribe after finding a stone ring hidden on the island where the tribe composition took place on Day 3. However, when Alexandre was permanently evacuated and eliminated from the game on Day 21 after having cracked his nose during the second individual Immunity Challenge, Kader returned to the game in his place with immunity at the upcoming Tribal Council. When Patrick tried to convince the second Koror tribe members to stay strong and vote together against Pascal, they all agreed except for Louis-Laurent, who did not want to work with Isabelle considering her role in Alexandre's first elimination. Instead, Louis-Laurent made plans with the second Mawaï tribe members, with the exception of Kader, to vote against Isabelle. Concerned about the numbers, Patrick made attempts to convince Freddy and Kader to vote with his allies against Pascal. When Patrick realized that Kader was committed to this new alliance but that Freddy was likely to vote with the other alliance, he instructed his allies to vote against Freddy instead of Pascal, reminding them about his treasonous attitude after he had been kidnapped by the Mawaï tribe. At Tribal Council, Patrick's alliance of himself, Christina, Isabelle, Raphaële, and Kader voted against Freddy while the rival alliance of Rodolphe, Freddy, Fabienne, Louis-Laurent, and Pascal voted against Isabelle. This resulted in a tied vote and the contestants had to revote. Since nobody changed their vote on the revote, Freddy and Isabelle had to draw rocks. Unfortunately for Freddy, he drew the black rock and was eliminated.
Though Freddy served on the jury, he did not vote at the Final Tribal Council because there were an even number of jurors and he was the first of them eliminated. However, he stated that he would have voted for Patrick if he would have been allowed to.

Le Choc des Héros[]
Freddy entered the competition as one of the returning players, so he was assigned to the Tiac tribe. They immediately competed in the first Reward Challenge and lost it against the Malabou tribe, which consisted of renowned French athletes. In spite of this loss, which resulted in them missing out on a niaouli roof reward to use as part of their shelter, the Tiac tribe was confident that they would be able to construct a shelter superior to that of their rivals based on their past experience on Koh-Lanta. The next day, Christina Chevry became stressed and expressed a desire to quit the competition. Christina's tribemates succeeded in calming her down, especially Linda Alario, who consoled her and motivated her to keep fighting for her team in a one-on-one conversation. The Tiac tribe narrowly won the first Immunity Challenge and, on top of this, they succeeded in starting a fire that evening. The next morning, the Tiac tribe feasted on periwinkles and sea urchins to the point where they were full and could not eat anymore, which is a state not often experienced by castaways on the show.
Freddy was seen as one of the Tiac tribe's leaders, along with Grégoire Delachaux, concerning life around camp. As in Palau, Freddy took charge of the construction of the shelter and the construction of the raft to be used in the third Reward Challenge, however, he learned from his mistakes made on his previous season by not being bossy. Right before the second Reward Challenge, Hot Pursuit, both tribes received a new member: Mohamed Derradji was assigned to the Tiac tribe and Taïg Khris was assigned to the Malabou tribe. The Tiac tribe lost this challenge. The next day, the Tiac tribe narrowly won the second Immunity Challenge, earning them safety from Tribal Council again. The Tiac tribe won the third Reward Challenge, but they were clearly divided by the end of the day with Linda, Freddy, and Grégoire in one alliance, Coumba Baradji, Christina, and Mohamed in another, and Christophe Guttatoro-Martin seeming to be a potential swing vote for the two alliances. Coumba and Mohamed made separate attempts to recruit Christophe into their alliance with Mohamed suggesting to him that they take out Freddy, but Christophe responded that he would think about it. Christophe also told Mohamed that taking out Freddy would be a bad idea and that he should be careful not to rebel too much, reminding Mohamed of his own mistake in dealing with Bertrand Bolle in Caramoan. That night, the Tiac tribe gathered around in order for Mohamed to express his feelings about not being their leader, which was a role that Mohamed wanted to take on but couldn't as he did not have enough social capital to do so since he was the newest member of the tribe. Eventually, the tribe's conversation turned into a conflict with some tribe members angrily expressing their issues with other tribe members. After losing the third Immunity Challenge the next day, Coumba's alliance planned to target Linda for her conflicts with Christina instead of targeting Freddy while Freddy's alliance planned to target Mohamed for being the perceived catalyst of the tribe's disarray instead of targeting Christina, who had felt like quitting earlier in the competition. At Tribal Council, Christophe sided with Freddy's alliance, resulting in Mohamed's elimination.
The Tiac tribe lost the fourth Reward Challenge against the Malabou tribe by a landslide. After the challenge, Denis Brogniart surprised the castaways by informing them that they would be merging that day and that both tribes would need to quickly select their respective Ambassadors to compete in a duel. He also informed them that a failure for the Ambassadors to reach a consensus on who to eliminate would result in the loser of the duel being eliminated instead. This was unlike the previous two seasons in which a failure for the Ambassadors to reach a consensus on who to eliminate would result in the two having to opt for a rock draw to determine who between them would be eliminated instead. The Malabou tribe selected Taïg to be their Ambassador and the Tiac tribe selected Christina to be theirs. Christina won the duel against Taïg, which granted her immunity at the merged tribe's first Tribal Council, immunity from being eliminated as an Ambassador, and, in turn, power over Taïg to ensure that a Malabou tribe member is eliminated by the Ambassadors and not a Tiac tribe member. Taïg revealed to Christina that, after being selected to be his tribe's Ambassador, he was approached by Djamel Bouras, Frédérique Jossinet, and Myriam Lamare and the four agreed that he should offer Gwendal's name should he lose the duel. Therefore, Christina and Taïg agreed upon Gwendal and he was eliminated from the game. After Christina and Taïg returned to camp and broke the news, the original Malabou tribe members explained to Gwendal that they had made this pact because they felt that he was the least deserving among them to continue forward through the game due to his arrogance during the tribal phase of the game. With the individual phase of the game beginning, the original Malabou tribe members made plans to vote based on who they thought was the least sportive of the tribe. However, the original Tiac tribe members made plans to pagong the original Malabou tribe members, though Coumba temporarily considered flipping to the other side due to being at the bottom of her alliance along with Christina. Their first target was to be Frédérique, who they feared would be good at the Perch challenge should she make it that far into the competition. Upon realizing that they were going to be pagonged, the original Malabou tribe members expressed their frustrations and changed their plans, opting to vote together against Freddy, who was considered one of the leaders of the original Tiac tribe members. Meanwhile, the original Tiac tribe members changed their plans as well, choosing to target Djamel because they realized that he would be a physical threat in the short-term and that he needed to eat more than the rest of the tribe. Thus, at Tribal Council, Djamel was voted out in a 6-4 vote.
Upon returning from Tribal Council, Christina was temporarily evacuated from the game due to her emotional stress taking a toll on her body. The next day, Frédérique and Myriam generally avoided tasks around camp and tried to relax in order to get themselves ready for the next two challenges, the second of which being crucial for their survival in the game. Linda and Christophe were critical of this, stating that they looked like they were on holiday. Later, when Grégoire began to relax somewhat himself, Myriam told him that he should go fishing. This comment was taken poorly by most of the original Tiac tribe members, who felt that she was talking to him as if he hasn't been active around camp. Though Grégoire did go fishing soon after, the tensions throughout the day developed a rift beyond strategic reasons between the original Malabou tribe members and the original Tiac tribe members. Christina returned to camp the next morning and received a warm reception from her tribemates. Soon after, Taïg pricked his hand with the spiny dorsal fin of a fish he caught which turned out to be venomous. With his hands being temporarily paralyzed and his feeling as if there were ants crawling all over his body, Taïg was quickly treated by a medic who remedied the situation but also deemed Taïg unfit to compete in the second individual Immunity Challenge. In consequence, Taïg was immune from receiving any votes at the corresponding Tribal Council, but also could not cast a vote either. After Frédérique won the second individual Immunity Challenge, Denis Brogniart revealed to the merged tribe that Tribal Council would be taking place right there and then. With Myriam being the only original Malabou tribe member eligible for elimination, Christina believed that her fellow original Tiac tribe members would be voting against her. However, Christina was blindsided by her allies in a 5-2-1 vote because they were concerned for her health. Throughout the next cycle, tensions between the two alliances were alleviated and there was more harmony around camp. This did not change the plans of the original Tiac tribe members though who resumed their pagonging of the original Malabou tribe members. When Freddy and Myriam won the second individual Reward Challenge, the latter tried to convince the former to consider voting based on merit instead of voting strategically. Freddy seemed to agree with Myriam on this, however, he ultimately stuck to his alliance's plan. When Myriam won the third individual Immunity Challenge, Frédérique was voted out at the corresponding Tribal Council.
Upset from realizing that they were still being pagonged, the remaining original Malabou tribe members slept together on the beach away from the original Tiac tribe members, who were sleeping in the shelter. The next night, the merged tribe had to experience heavy rain that continued into the following morning, which affected their morale going into the fourth individual Immunity Challenge. While Grégoire and Christophe went fishing, Myriam became closer to Coumba and had the same discussion about valuing merit over strategy with her as she did with Freddy. After Myriam won the fourth individual Immunity Challenge, which marked her fourth individual challenge win this season, Denis Brogniart revealed to the merged tribe that Tribal Council would be taking place right there and then like two cycles prior. Taïg was left as the only original Malabou tribe member eligible for elimination, so he was voted out by the original Tiac tribe members. The next day, the tribe had to send two people to collect letters from home from the summit of a nearby small mountain. Linda and Christophe went to retrieve the letters and each tribe member had received one. Linda won the fourth individual Reward Challenge, which was for a phone call to a loved one and a night at a hotel. Denis Brogniart informed Linda that she could forfeit her reward to give all of her tribemates a night at the hotel instead and give one of them the phone call. Linda chose to forfeit her reward for her tribemates and gave the phone call to Christophe. While at the hotel, Myriam seized an opportunity to talk to Coumba and Christophe about voting based on merit instead of based on strategy. Meanwhile, back at camp, Linda had a rough night alone as she tried to balance both sleeping and tending to the fire. The following afternoon, the contestants competed in their last individual Immunity Challenge before the finale, which Grégoire won. At the corresponding Tribal Council, Myriam was voted out unanimously as the last original Malabou tribe member standing.
Having made it to the finale, Freddy was taken by Grégoire to the Final Two instead of Christophe after Grégoire won the Perch challenge. At the Final Tribal Council, both Freddy and Grégoire were praised for their strong overall games. However, the majority of the jurors were more impressed with Grégoire's feats than Freddy's, which resulted in Freddy losing to Grégoire in a 6-2 vote.

La Revanche des Héros[]
Freddy won the opening challenge, so he and those who would join him on the Klahan tribe were granted immunity from the elimination challenge that would be taking place the next day. He entered an alliance with Bertrand Bolle, Francis Bordas, Wafa El Mejjad, and Moussa Niangane that voted out fellow Palau contestant Isabelle Da Silva the sole time that the Klahan tribe went to Tribal Council. Though his alliance and Maud Garnier made the merge with a numbers advantage against the original Nekmao tribe members, Freddy felt uneasy about his position in the game as Maud was bitter over the Ambassadors' elimination of Patricia Morel and would likely consider flipping to the minority. Freddy won the first individual Immunity Challenge and nullified Isabelle's black vote against him, however, Maud flipped and she and the original Nekmao tribe members voted out Francis at the corresponding Tribal Council. Though he had nowhere to hide going into the next cycle, Freddy made his social standing worse by misguiding Teheiura Teahui during the second individual Immunity Challenge. With Tribal Council taking place right there and then after said challenge, Freddy's mistake was still fresh in everyone's mind and the majority alliance of Maud and the original Nekmao tribe members voted him out.

La Nouvelle Édition[]
Unlike their competitors, Freddy and Teheiura Teahui were exempt from participating in the first cycle and instead had to trek to a beach where they would meet Denis Brogniart and ten of the other eleven contestants. At some point during their long trek, the pair succeeded in making fire. When entering the main game, they brought with them this fire as a greeting present. Freddy and Teheiura became captains of the Simban and Tengah tribes, respectively, and got to pick their tribemates. The Simban tribe became a cohesive unit, but they lost the first tribal Immunity Challenge. With the contestants voting from their hearts rather than using strategies at Tribal Council, it seemed that Martin Bazin and Phil Bizet would be voting against Sara Tallon, Freddy and Philippe Duron would be voting against Christina Chevry, and Christina and Sara would be voting against Philippe. At the last minute though, Philippe voted against Sara instead in order to avoid a 2-2-2 tied vote, eliminating Sara from the game in a 3-2-1 vote. That was the only time the Simban tribe attended Tribal Council during the tribal phase. Before the merge, the Simban and Tengah tribes selected Phil and Moundir Zoughari, respectively, to visit their opposition's camp as emissaries. At the Simban tribe's camp, Moundir told Freddy that Teheiura volunteered to be the Tengah tribe's Ambassador. Meanwhile, with all of the contestants being involved in a cross-tribal alliance except for Freddy and Christina, Moundir told Martin and Philippe the truth, which was that Florence Delbarre Reuter had volunteered for the role instead of Teheiura, and that he lied to Freddy in order to provoke him into volunteering himself due to his ego. With Phil being filled in on Moundir's bluff on his end by the other Tengah tribe members, the plan worked and Freddy became the Simban tribe's Ambassador opposite Florence. At the Ambassadors' Meeting, Freddy and Florence failed to convince one another to turn on one of their respective allies and, after the consequential rock draw, Florence was eliminated from the game. At the merged tribe's first Tribal Council, Christina was voted out, leaving Freddy alone against an alliance of six. The next cycle, after winning the first individual Reward Challenge, Teheiura chose to share the reward with Phil, which lost him the respect of many of his tribemates as he had promised Laurent Maistret beforehand that he would share it with him should he win. In consequence of this incident, Teheiura received more votes cast against him than Freddy did at the corresponding Tribal Council. Though this seemed like a break for Freddy, Teheiura had foreseen this outcome and played a Hidden Immunity Necklace on himself, "idoling out" Freddy as a result.
