Du haut de ses 24 ans, Florence a une force mentale et physique surprenante. À 13 ans, elle quitte le nid familial pour se consacrer à son sport: la natation. À 16 ans, elle participe aux essais pour les Jeux Olympiques de 2016. Malgré tous ses efforts, elle n'a jamais pu se rendre aux Olympiques. Cela dit, elle a l'impression que tout son parcours la préparait pour Survivor Québec. Même si elle a mis la compétition de côté pour se consacrer à sa carrière en neuroscience cognitive, elle carbure encore aux défis et à l'adrénaline. Elle se décrit comme une « peureuse-courageuse » puisqu'elle se pousse toujours à faire des choses qui lui font peur. De nature introvertie, elle surprendra par sa capacité d'analyse, son endurance surhumaine et son moral à toute épreuve.[2]
