Flirting and Frustration is the third episode of Survivor: Cook Islands.

Story

“	Having sized up her tribe, a giddy and flirtatious Parvati starts using the only strategy she knows: to manipulate the men and draw them into her "web." Jonathan quickly grows frustrated with Jessica when he tries to talk strategy and she seemingly wants nothing to do with "playing the game." Nate shocks himself when he scores big while spear fishing and brings back enough food for the entire tribe.	”

Day 7

The original racially divided tribes are absorbed into two tribes, Aitutaki, and Rarotonga. These tribes are chosen via a Schoolyard Pick in the following order.

Challenges

Immunity Challenge: Steeple Chase
While harnessed together, the two tribes must wade around an oval course while carrying a fifteen-pound backpack each. Players can drop out of the challenge at will, but they must give their pack to someone before unclipping themselves from the rope. The first tribe to catch the opponent and tackle one of their members wins.
Additional Stipulation: The winning tribe will banish one member from the losing tribe to Exile Island. This member will skip Tribal Council.

	Yul	“	(voting against Cecilia) Cecilia, I'm really sorry to be sending you home. You seem like a wonderful person, I just haven't had a chance to get to know you very well over the past 24 hours. The vote was either going to go against Becky or yourself, and between the two, uh, my loyalty is to Becky, because I've known her for longer and obviously have a strong friendship and alliance with her. Best of luck to you.	”

	Cecilia	“	(voting against Becky) It's nothing personal. I think you are amazing. It's, like, what I think will be better for the tribe.	”

	Sundra	“	(voting against Becky) Hey girl, I'm only writing your name down because I know you're not going to be sent home tonight. That's it.	”

	Becky	“	(voting against Cecilia) It's nothing personal, girl. I'm just doing this as far as strategy for moving our tribe forward in this game.	”

	Ozzy	“	(voting against Becky) You haven't made any effort to try andcl connect to me, get to know me at all.	”

	Cao Boi	“	(voting against Cecilia) Ceci, I'm sorry, but there's a bigger picture. There are people scheming, and we're all in danger. You're the sacrifice. You're the cog. Hopefully from here on we'll defeat the scheming, and the good people will have a chance to keep playing this game longer. Lo siento.	”

	Jonathan	“	(voting against Cecilia) You're a classy lady. This is nothing personal. It's just strategy.	”

	Jessica	“	(voting against Cecilia) I'm sorry girl, I think you're the best, but I have to vote for you. Sorry.	”

Final Words

	Cecilia	“	This vote tonight, it's insane. It's just a testament as to how quickly this game can change. But I have no regrets. I had a great time. It was an amazing eight days. I got to do crazy things that I never thought I would ever do and probably won't ever do again. I think that they made a mistake voting me out. I-I don't think this is gonna strengthen them, it may weaken the tribe, unfortunately.	”

Trivia

• The Immunity Challenge was previously used in Palau and later in Caramoan. A land variant of it was used in Gabon.
• This episode marks only time the Hot Pursuit challenge is used with everyone still in the game competing in the challenge. Koror, Kota, and Gota all had more members than Ulong, Fang, and Bikal respectively and had to sit people out to accommodate them.
• This is the first episode in which Exile Island is in play, but no scenes are shown in the episode.
