Facundo was the captain of the Pudientes tribe. When the captains arrived to their Captains' Challenge, he was in last place.
Despite the great number of defeats that his tribe had, he tried to cheer them up by telling jokes and encouraging them.
At the fourth Trial, Isidro Ovejas was saved by the opposing tribe. Facundo offered to go to the duel. He won the duel and returned to the game.
The tribe continued losing the challenges, which caused that Facundo demanded to his tribe. Until the pre-merge, the tribe began to improve.
At the seventh Trial, Facundo was the emissary and nominated Luis Arellano. At the eighth Trial, the Banda tribe chose to nominate him for being a physical threat and be irritating. Facundo won the duel and returned to the game.
At the merge, he had an excellent performance and remained safe most of the weeks.
He won the first challenge of the Finalists' Week. Therefore, he rested all that week and prepared for the Finale.
At the Finale, he was up against Luis, Sebastián Pastrana and Fernanda de la Mora. Facundo tried to reach Luis, who was in first place, but his effort was not enough and he finished as the Runner-Up of La Isla 2017.

- Facundo, next to Adrián Arrieta, is the oldest man to compete on La Isla 2017: El Reality.
- Subsequently, he is also the oldest member of the original Pudientes tribe.
