Expedition Robinson 2003 is the seventh season of Expedition Robinson.

After 47 days, Emma Andersson defeated Mille Lansburgh in a 11-5 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor.

Production

Returning Player Vote

Expected to be the last season of Expedition Robinson, a nation-wide telephone poll was held to select 15 players to return to the game. SVT reportedly contacted every previous contestant from the first 6 seasons of the show, in which 65 contestants said they would be willing to participate in another season. Swedish viewers could call one of 65 telephone numbers to add a vote towards their chosen contestant. Each call cost 9.90 SEK, and viewers could vote multiple times.

Twists/Changes

• Expanded Cast: The season featured a total of 24 contestants, 8 more than the standard format.
• Challengers vs. Veterans: One tribe, Challengers, was comprised of ten Expedition Robinson fans. The other tribe, the Veterans, was comprised of fourteen players from previous seasons, all of whom were selected from a larger pool of previous players via a telephone poll.
• Delayed Tribe Formation: The Challengers Team did not enter the game until after the first person from the Veterans Team had been voted out.
• Pairs: On Day 7, the contestants of the former Challengers Team each selected a contestant of the former Veterans Team of the opposite gender to be paired with for that episode and for the three subsequent episodes. For the four corresponding Tribal Councils, only the contestants of the former Challengers Team were eligible to vote at this Tribal Council and they were only allowed to vote against one of their own. However, the contestant of the former Veterans Team paired with the contestant who was voted out would also be eliminated. In the event of a tie, the contestants of the former Veterans Team would vote against one of the tied contestants.
• Reverse Vote: On Day 33, it was revealed that the contestant who had received the highest number of votes at the corresponding Tribal Council would not be eliminated. Instead, whoever that contestant had voted against would be the person voted out.
• Semi-Finals: At the final four, the castaways competed in a challenge in which the winner would advance directly to the Final Two and the last-place finisher would be eliminated. The remaining two castaways would compete in another challenge to determine the second finalist.
• Final Tribal Council Format/Public Votes: Two finalists faced a jury of eight. In addition, the public could vote for a finalist of their choice. The percentage of votes received by each of the finalists was then divided into eight jury votes.
