Expedition Robinson 2001 is the fifth season of Expedition Robinson.

Jan Emanuel Johansson defeated Jan Dinkelspiel in a 7-2 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor, winning the 500,000 SEK prize, roughly equivalent to US$80,000 in 2023. To date, this season has produced four returning players (Björn Hernefeldt, Emma Andersson, Sylvia Söderström, and Zübeyde Simsek) for subsequent seasons.

Twists/Changes

• Public Votes: Six contestants were subject to a public to be cast on the season. The two who were voted in would also be a team coach.
• Duel: A duel took place in "Episode 4", which switched a contestant to the other tribe.
• Merge: The merged tribe was comprised of eleven members.
• Black Vote: Starting from the merge, every castaway who had been voted out was eligible to cast a vote at the subsequent Tribal Council.
• Final Four Challenge: At the final four, a challenge took place, in which two castaways were eliminated. This determined the Final Two.
• Jury Selection: Both members of the Final Two were able to choose three of the nine castaways eliminated since the merge to become jury members. They would be the only castaways to cast a vote at the Final Tribal Council.
• Public Jury Votes: The public were able to cast three jury votes: one vote would be cast by male viewers, one by female viewers, and one by children.
