Expeditie Robinson 2006 is the eighth season of the Dutch/Belgian reality television series Expeditie Robinson. This season began airing on August 28, 2006, and concluded on November 28, 2006.

The major twist this season was that the tribes were initially divided by gender with one 'All-Star' castaway joining each tribe as tribe leaders: Klaar van der Lippe and Robin Ibens. Neither Klaar nor Robin could receive votes, but both could cast votes. This season, all of the women were from the Netherlands, and all of the men were from Belgium. Following the tribe switch, they were allowed to give anyone on their tribe Individual Immunity for that Tribal Council. Both Klaar and Robin left the game at the merge as they were not eligible to win and could not compete from this point onwards.

Olga Urashova defeated Lenny Janssen in a public vote of 52% to 48% to become the Sole Survivor.

Twists

• Battle of the Sexes: For the third time, the castaways are divided into tribes based on gender. Kamp Noord consisted only of female castaways, whereas Kamp Zuid consisted only of male castaways, although a tribe leader of the opposite gender would be on each tribe.
• Netherlands vs Belgium: For the second time, the castaways were divided into tribes based on country. All male castaways were from Belgium and all female castaways were from the Netherlands.
• One Returning Player Per Tribe: Two former castaways returned to compete in this season as tribe leaders. Former castaways Klaar van der Lippe and Robin Ibens joined this season's batch of castaways.
• Tribe Switch: On Day 10, a Tribe Switch occurred. In addition, the tribe leaders would switch tribes.
• Pre-merge Individual Immunity: At every pre-merge Tribal Council following the Tribe Switch, the tribe leader could give a castaway of their choice Individual Immunity, lasting only for that respective Tribal Council.
• Loser's Island: After each castaway was eliminated, they would be sent to Loser's Island where they would wait until there were only two castaways left in the game, at which point the six castaways on the island would vote for one of their own to return to the game and compete in the Final Immunity Challenge. The remaining castaways on Loser's Island would form the jury and vote to save either castaway at the final three that did not win the Final Immunity Challenge, thus deciding the Final Two.
• Public Vote: At the Final Tribal Council, a public vote decided the winner instead of the jury.
