Empu is the merged tribe of Bajau and Iban from Survivor South Africa: Malaysia. Their tribe color is red.

Empu was defined by a stark divide between the two original Bajau and Iban alliances. After the Iban Alliance gained the upper hand at Empu's first Tribal Council, they controlled the rest of the game, though its members met with significant interpersonal strife. This tension allowed the last Bajau Alliance member standing to make inroads with the Ibans, but was not enough to get her to the Final Two, where both finalists were original Iban members.
