Dragging the River (also known as A-Tension Span) is a recurring Survivor challenge that debuted in Survivor: Kaôh Rōng.

The tribes would race across a series of obstacles on both land and sea while transporting an item before getting to a slingshot at the end of the course. Using the slingshot and the provided ammunition, the tribes would attempt to knock down two targets. The first tribe to knock down both of their targets wins.

In Kaôh Rōng, the tribes had to transport a log which had the ammunition needed to operate their slingshot tied around it. After a tight race between all three tribes, Gondol knocked down both their targets first, followed by Chan Loh, sending To Tang to their second consecutive Tribal Council.

In Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, the tribes had to transport a buoy through an obstacle course before using the buoy to release their boats to reach the slingshots. Levu fell behind early when Desi Williams and Ashley Nolan had trouble with the buoy. This allowed Soko and Yawa to race forward and ultimately clinch the victory in the slingshot portion of the challenge.
