Dizziness as Usual (also known as Spinning Tops) is a recurring challenge that debuted in Survivor: Tocantins and was used internationally in Survivor South Africa: Maldives, Survivor New Zealand: Thailand, and Survivor Québec (2024).

Rules

Each tribe will have one member sitting on a spinning platform. Another member will run out to the platform, grab a rope, and pull the rope back to the start, which will cause the platform to spin. Once the puller has made it back to the start, the castaway on the platform will then run through a series of obstacles to try and get back to the beginning. The first castaway to make it back to the beginning of the course will score a point for their tribe. The first tribe to three points will win reward.

History

New Zealand

This challenge was used as a Reward Challenge in Thailand. After Tess Fahey fell off the platform due to the pole dislodging, Khangkhaw won the challenge.

South Africa

The challenge appeared as the final tribal Reward Challenge of Maldives, where it was played as a relay race rather than a head-to-head showdown. Each tribe's objective was to race to reveal and then solve a mathematical equation. Goma beat out Raituhn, winning the reward of luxury items.
